hate that dive play on fourth and goal by Michigan. It's so obvious. The whole defense is selling out to stop that play. That's the perfect time for a fake or a naked bootleg.
That Tight End on UVA Jelani Woods is a ridiculous matchup nightmare. I don't know if he's fast enough for the pros, but he's pretty uncoverable against most college LBs. Link - ( New Window )
He only had 129 yards receiving for Oklahoma State last year. Seriously. I still can't belive that. How do you squander talent that badly?
Good to be 2-0 but Harbaugh has two quarterbacks who have talent and the team had only 44 yards passing. He will not beat the better big 10 teams with that style of play.

I watched some of that second half against UDub. Michigan seemed to be running a lot of 12 and 13 personnel packages. Just old school Harbaugh. The only thing missing was leather helmets... ;)
Agree about the same teams always in it but not sure of why that is. Just a few years ago you had a lot more competitive SEC and Big 10.
Many people I know enjoy the college game more than the NFL.
Hopefully Texas, UCLA, USC, someone in the ACC can get things going. I still can't believe Nebraska is what is is with that history and what it puts into the program.
Most are against it but I would love to see a 16 game tournament with all conference winners getting a automatic. The majority of bowls are so unappealing imo.
Georgia held serve with a blowout home opener vs UAB

Can only only assume OSU ran spread most of the time in the Big 12. But we're talking a 6'7" TE on seam routes out of some 3-WR formations - big problem for LBs.
I got into a "debate" with someone here - I don't remember who it was - my point was that if I was Frost I would have gone too for 35 million guaranteed at the school he went to, where his wife's family lived but he had no chance of winning there. None.
Nebraska is never going to win again. The world has changed and the labor pool for minor league football talent has evolved. What top talent kids from FL or Texas or the south want to live in Nebraska? Have you ever been to Nebraska?
Like I said Frost had almost no choice. He went from 2 million a year to 5 million a year for 7 years. Who wouldn't take that?

Yes I have been to a game. Very nice environment and great fan base. Well for starters maybe they should remember what they were.
They fired Solich and brought in Callahan and his West Coast offense. There is no reason why they can't be like a Iowa or Wisconsin imo. Recruit and develop a premier OL system. Play the power game, win more and more players will join. The key is having a great coaching staff. One advantage they have is they are not losing kids early to the draft. You have to maximize that. Good coaching staffs can.
I know another team in the NFL who did the same thing. Went from a physical power team to trying a transition to a finesse WCO. Results have not been too good with that team either.

Right, need to play your geographical position to your advantage. Cold weather breeds bigger people, just an environmental fact, and not just humans, look at the animal kingdom as well.
There's a reason speed comes out of the South and the warm weather certainly gives you an advantage as you are growing kid. The number of sprinters that come out of S. Florida (and warm weather environments in general) is eye opening.
Oregon beats Ohio State on the ROAD - Oregon actually goes DOWN one spot, while Ohio State goes UP one spot? Notre Dame sweaks by Toledo at home, and they also go up one spot?

Washington’s strength is their defense, their secondary in particular. They did what they had to do to secure the W. I don’t think it’s going to be like that every week with the offense.
That said, losing Ronnie Bell is such a tough blow.
I do not make the hires at Nebraska and it is not my college. Now my college went through a similar thing where people said they could not win. They got smart, hired Paul Johnson and implemented a system that they could win with. That then spread to another Academy and they started winning as well. Paul Johnson then put together three top twenty teams and one top ten at Georgia Tech. Nebraska can get better athletes and should be able to at least match that.
If you want to have a defeatist attitude then that is fine. To say Nebraska can't have a team that is more competitive and every few years crack the top 10 is short sighted.

I don't get it...
Not sure what you are talking about. Oregon is up to #4. Ohio State dropped to #9.

I don't think we'll ever see Nebraska reach the heights of the Osborne era, but LOS is right...it's 100% conceivable Nebraska could become an Iowa, i.e. being top 10-15 a season here & there.
LOL...Jefferson is a moose...
College game has passed Harbaugh.
The illusion that D’Erick King is a college QB has been proven wrong time and time again. He can’t play
