Like LT said. Let’s go out there like a bunch of crazed dogs.
Thus is a great test
5BowlsSoon : 9/12/2021 8:45 am : link
To see how DJ responds to a great defense. I hope he passes the test. And more importantly I hope he avoids turnovers when under pressure.
If Chubb doesn't go
mittenedman : 9/12/2021 8:46 am : link
it's a huge blow for DEN. Miller's the name, and still dangerous I'm sure, but Chubb is the Alpha Male of that football team. He's a dominant force vs. the run and pass, and the vocal team leader. A Michael Strahan-type DE.

It's still hard to believe the Giants passed on him. Barkley was just too tantalizing. Any other draft (without Barkley), the Giants take Nelson or Chubb.

This is also a 6-10 team last year who lost their best OL, their #4 overall pick LT has shown no improvement, their #6 overall pick QB has shown no improvement and all of the weapons they brought in in the offseason he doesn’t have any chemistry with due to injuries, and I am still not convinced the OC knows any offense other than run-run-have receivers run 3 yard curls. This team barely beat the Bengals without Joe Burrow and these Broncos are much better than that.
This is not a great defense
BigBlueJ : 9/12/2021 9:44 am : link
They are not stacked on all levels of that unit. We are so quick to bend a knee at our opponents because the media tells us we should. An old coming off injury pash rusher on the decline. A hobbled edge rusher who might not play. A solid but nothing special secondary especially the DBs, I didnt know jalen ramsey and dion sanders were at the corner spot. A notoriously week tackle unit which has not improved and an average ILB unit.

No one is saying this game is not a coin flip. But if it IS a coin flip, then why are you being a pussy??? I think that is the observation.
To me, this is a strange year
GeofromNJ : 9/12/2021 9:51 am : link
Last year the Giants, 6-10, could have finished 8-8 if DJ had done a better job with ball security. His INTs don't bother me. His fumbles kill me. Personnel wise, the team is better this year (and I'm not including Barkley when I say this). However, the schedule is tougher and Dallas is better, and the OL is still an embarrassment. I think the Giants win today on their way to a 7-10 season.

This game isn’t a coin flip. We have not demonstrated that we have an offense capable of scoring more than 17 points and it is almost impossible to keep any halfway competent offense to under 17 points in today’s NFL and Denver does have talent at skill positions even if Bridgewater is one of the worst Week 1 starting QB’s this year and they have an OC who knows how to run a halfway competent offense.

OY VE, I hope this is that thing were we psyched ourselves up for disaster only to be even more elated at the aversion of that disaster.

I would love to eat crow tonight, but there is nothing objective on paper that indicates that Giants have even a coin flip’s chance of winning.

There is Definitely a tendency to see the flaws in your team and the strengths of their opponents, good post

27-17 win for us, Daniel Jones throws 2 TD.

Denver doesn't suck. What are you talking about? It's a completely revamped team that had brutal injury luck and terrible QB play last year. For my money finishes second in a tough AFC West, but carry on. Both these teams are better than people think this year.
