Step away from the ledge. Yes, it was a really bad performance by everyone. But stop proclaiming that the season is over. Can you give it at least half a season before you want everyone fired and released? Man, fans are so fickle and reactionary to everything. The season isn’t lost yet.
And hope is supposed to be brought about by reason
I would notice that too many people here do not seem pissed off when we lose

I’m not happy we lost. I’ll be the first to admit that the team played really lousy. But come on. Everything here is so over the top. They can bounce back. It’s not the end of the world. And the Washington game is in a few days. They can turn an 0-1 start around. I understand the criticism. That comes with a bad loss. But I can’t understand the “pull the plug” threads that are all over the board right now.
worse than week 1 v the steelers last season.
are we hoping for them to "find a rhythm" after going 1-6 again? should we expect them to look overmatched and terrible out of the gate every season?
Hopefully we show some progress in the next couple games to give everyone some hope, but based on today it's the same old issues. Can't cover an opposing TE, can't get off the field on 3rd down, can't pressure the QB, Offensive line still stinks, Jones continues making boneheaded plays and turning the ball over. Garrett terrible play calling, etc, etc, etc.

And getting pissed off to the level that some here are is supposed to accomplish what??? Not up to us to resolve the issues. Just a waste of time getting that bent out of shape.

2-6 at best at the bye?
We didn't even have so-so defense.
Denver isn’t really any good..and they blew us out at home..27-14 probably should have been 37-14…
The smartest reply back I have seen today..
🤪🤪🤪
Sure, I understand being angry. The part I cannot accept is when people are surprised by the performance. Nothing has changed ON THE FIELD to provide any confidence that this team is any different than the past few years.

have a very unfavorable schedule next two months. If they don’t have passable QB play, no fun game, and only so so defense, they won’t win more than 3-4 games this year.

Unless they dramatically improve, they aren't winning a single one of those games.
This is not an isolated game. It may be game 1 this year. But, this team is fresh off a 6 win season, which was actually an improvement over the prior couple of seasons. Let that sink in for a moment. It is hard to remember the last time the Giants won one fo their first couple of games of any season. Through 2 GMs, 3 coaches, and new personnel, this team has continued to put a very similar product on the field. So, when Game 1 yields the same results of most games (both outcome and how we got there) as the majority of games over several seasons, then yes, a lot of fans are going to expect more of the same. Right now, there was nothing that occurred today to lead anyone to believe next week or any week will yield better results.
Amazing people see this garbage and say “why is everyone overreacting?” Unless you’re a blood relative of John Mara that makes no sense
This year, even with the loss, Dallas looked a lot better than anyone was expecting and they are not 100% healthy. They scare me. Washington will be a good test in a few days where this team is. But, if this division is horrible again (not likely to be as bad as last year, but hypothetically), I still won't be happy hanging around with 5 or 6 wins. At some point this team has to take a step forward.

And then they come out and lay a big steaming turd like this at home, against a mediocre team, and people aren't supposed to get angry? The hell with that.

Well said. They can change personnel, coaches, and FO all they want but until the organizational philosophy changes the results will continue to be poor.
As far as tonight goes, the giants could have been shut out. Yeah the D sucked too, but the offense was scary bad

Didn’t Washington win the division? What are you talking about?
Really, the worst part of today was how bad the D looked. Our vaunted cover guys were just picked apart. Our run D was not stout. We didn’t set the edge well. When we did get pressure TB had ways to escape. And they played the small ball game perfectly, dinking and dunking us to death. And they went on 4th and we didn’t make them pay any of those times.
But, it’s a marathon. Our last SB year we were like 8-8 before getting on a run. Not saying we’re that by any stretch, but FFS, it’s week 1 of 17.

I almost wrote a parody post about losing, but thought better of it because some BBIers would take it seriously.
A team that has been losing 10+ games year in and year out tends not to get the benefit of the doubt.
Total absolute fan meltdown, fire everyone, cut Jones, “see I told you so,” Judge sucks, Saquon was never special, etc etc I don’t get. Not after game 1.
