Why not? We will have to endure Sunday Night Baseball coverage.

I will have the lineups in a bit.

Anyone else find that weird with Judge?
Matt M. : 9/12/2021 9:46 pm : link
They can't moisten the lenses, or change them? That's something the trainer usually does with a quick timeout. If it requires more than just contact solution, why can't they have a timeout to address it instead of losing their best player over something that is probably now fine...unless it is more than a dry contact.

Boone just mentioned that he was feeling dizzy. I'm thinking they should send him to Frazier's physician so this turns into a season ending issue. Afterall, we don't want to risk winning games.

Yes, he has some nasty stuff, but like most Yankees pitchers has trouble throwing strikes consistently. He has had a few strikes called balls because he is all over the place.

That was a while lot of nonsense and really made the Mets (Lindor and Baez in particular) look bad. Lindor ran his mouth first right at the Yankees dugout. Giancarlo said something back and didn't even seem animated about it. That should be that. But, Lindor and Baez were up in arms because he said something? Dish it out and can't take comes to mind.

Matt M. : 9/13/2021 12:08 am : link
But, I am sorry, tonight doesn't validate that contract when all season he has been booed for a reason. And he is a fragile mentality who likes to talk like he's not.

All season he has said he doesn't hear the boos, etc. He's laughed about it, changed the subject. But, then he does stuff that is in response. That thumbs down is a perfect example. As a Yankee fan, I don't care that he ran his mouth. He hit a HR and had something to say? Fine. But, Stanton just talked to him and his fragile ego couldn't handle it. That should have been the end of it, but him and Baez looked like fragile babies getting worked up over it. Instead of rushing the field to fight, their Mets teammates should have told them to stop yelling and gesturing to fight because they were embarrassing themselves and the team.

Maybe, maybe not. But, it wasn't called a strike and that was one of the best looking pitches of the night. McCann just did a terrible job framing it or ctaching it, making it look like a bad pitch. If Stanton doesn't run right away or steps out of the batter's circle, it's an out.
Great game…

Given the amount of injuries the Mets have had, being only 3 games out of the playoffs is a miracle. Lindor is really coming on too. I think his second year in NY is going to go better.

Sanchez clearly made a late tag the other night. Took replay to figure that out. Lindor clearly fouled the ball off his foot. The ball was called fair and he was called out. But yeah, there was an 0-1 pitch that you didn’t like the call

Replay shows it did not hit his foot - you do not see any deflection of the shoe and the Mets certainly did not think it did.
Cannot remember people fighting over Sanchez tag, only over not standing there and tagging him. Villar wants to come both spikes up, you drop your shin guards on his legs.

last night. I love that there's a potential rivalry brewing between the Yankees and Mets going forward. I hope they keep playing each other every year. The rest of inter league play you can keep.

Too bad more people didn't see the game last night. That's the kind passion and emotion baseball needs more of.

The Yankees have become the perfect vehicle to make baseball more popular everywhere but the Bronx. Have a star having a down year that needs to get his home crowd behind him? Just call for the Yankees they are the cure.

That's now 13 homers off Green (for those counting).
I wonder if Green was having flashbacks to 2017, when Giradi didn't challenge that play, and then Green let up a grand slam to Lindor.
He quickly fell behind 2-0 last night, like he wasn't comfortable pitching to him.
Personally, I watched more SNF, picked up
the game in the middle innings.
Yanks have afternoon game today as a makeup, great.
So what was the deal

with Judge leaving the game, dizziness they said?
Hopefully just a temporary thing.
