the two biggest disappointments on the team in the last 20 years. They were destined to be part of the new core and now look like they are both playing themselves out of a job in 2022. Volpe and Peraza look legit and may push in 2022.
They can't moisten the lenses, or change them? That's something the trainer usually does with a quick timeout. If it requires more than just contact solution, why can't they have a timeout to address it instead of losing their best player over something that is probably now fine...unless it is more than a dry contact.

Boone just mentioned that he was feeling dizzy. I'm thinking they should send him to Frazier's physician so this turns into a season ending issue. Afterall, we don't want to risk winning games.
from Schmidt tonight. Of course, he has zero business starting for us right now. I really hope he can stay healthy because he has mid-rotation stuff and grit.

It's about to be Heaney time.
Yes, he has some nasty stuff, but like most Yankees pitchers has trouble throwing strikes consistently. He has had a few strikes called balls because he is all over the place.

Which is what regular work will help with. Just need him to stay healthy and he will be a piece in 2022.
Mets:
Hmm - Clarke Schmidt on the mound vs Carlos Carrasco
Last chance for a Subway Series Champion to be crowned.
Probably watching with sound on mute
Tampa is defending champion, but geez Toronto looks like the real deal.
Now lets add on a baker's dozen.
We are going to need someone to bridge the team to the next crop of kids (Gomez, Wells, Breaux).
Ha

Cmon Schmidt.
but maybe not...
4-2
Heaney was really all he thought was needed?
Judge needs to get tossed on one of these BS calls. He is consistently screwed over.
Know enough to see Judge continuously called out on balls well below the zone..
seems precautionary. He had some sort of issue with his eyes from the first inning on.

Looked like dry contact lens...

and Sanchez needs to block the plate next time. This in between shit is hot garbage.

suck. Rizzo out of baseline? Next time run Lindor over. And I want to see replay of Gardy at 1st.

He could have blocked the plate, he had the ball. Thought you could not block without the ball.
