I didn't come here to listen, I came to watch.
I really hope what I was listening to, and watching, yesterday is not what I have to listen to, and watch, for the rest of the season. Because the Giants failed to show up as promised.
I don't think anyone on this board expected less than one of the ten best defenses in the league to show up, instead we got what was possibly the Giants worst defensive performance in the last two seasons. I mean the defense was worse swiss cheese last night than at anytime last year.
And the offense, it was like a competition with the defense for who was worse.
Holy cr@p! I just have to erase this game from my memory banks and hope that it was just an aberration.
Go Giants!
Being a Giant fan has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. Even the 2016 season was just a mirage and total tease as we all know that team was not as good as the record suggested.
I feel like i'm living a nightmare
New players, new coaches, same results.
I'm just not sure what to do or where to go from here
Yeah this team sure will make you put a Bulleit in your mouth....
Heading into this season, I have felt the onus was on Jones to show us he is an NFL QB that can win this franchise a championship. Yesterday was more of the same from Jones. Good throws, a lot of misses and a colossal mistake that lead to another bad loss. And the opposing QB was the better QB on the field yesterday.
How I felt coming into yesterday is how I feel today. What has changed in the last few years? I can't honestly say. I love the tone that Judge has set for the team, but it has to produce results. It does appear that we lack the management, coaching (largely Garrett) and personnel to really think about competing with good teams in the NFL.
I felt worried about this team all off season. I wasn't doom and gloom, wasn't relishing in shitting on Jones or anyone else. But this level of performance is exactly what I and many other Giants fans were worried about.
It was one game. We will see how the rest of the season pans out.
There were times when Bronco receivers weren't open and Teddy B put it right on the money.
Shurmur and Teddy B were way better than Garrett and DJ yesterday.
Totally agree w/ your stance.
I have a very short rope right now, as I'm sure lots of fans do. They look like they don't even practice. All this discipline, tough guy act actually looks like a bad comedy act.
The mediocre Broncos don't run laps, they just beat the ever living sh#t out of you Judge.
The Defense matured and gained some good momentum as the year went along when they started scheming around the other weak corners (non Bradberry CBs). Not sure what fell apart yesterday although Denver was going after the slot CB and using their TEs a good bit.
Fans were riding a bit too high on this idea that Graham is a genius in the making. And I like him and I think he's good, but his strengths so far seem to be making adjustments after a bad game and bouncing back.
Numerous times they had Bridgewater almost "cornered" and he extended the play and was able to find a target on the back end. He turned a handful of plays that should have been negative ones into actual positive ones.
His launch point was so low on so many different throws as well it was shocking the Giant defenders at all 3 levels couldn't get their hands on and knock down more balls.
Adoree Jackson was an expensive new piece. And Darnay Holmes continues to be a target. Both need a major bounceback on Thursday as the WFT Offensive Coordinator will be going right at them.
It reminds me a bit of early last year when the steelers essentially did the same exact thing to the defense. The ran rub routes and crossing routes all day.
While the performance was very disappointing, I am not going to panic. They have things to fix for sure, but plenty of games to be played and I still believe we have the right coach to lead this team.
Time will tell
Why didn’t he ‘coach’ receivers to get wide open when he was here?

A lot of geniuses around here think Bridgewater stinks and Jones is good - but what you just said is accurate. Bridgewater was pressured on several occasions, but his awareness and footwork allowed him to extend plays and keep drives moving.
That was basically a major "FU" to the Giants D by the Broncos staff. Shows you what they really think.
Switch the 2 QBs and the Giants might win the game. Bridgewater is a pro QB who can find completions when everyone's reasonably covered.
Huge part of playing NFL QB is finding completions. Go back to the opening drive. 3rd and 17 on the cusp on FG range. Jones throws incomplete.
The D will be defending the sticks: You HAVE TO find a short completion there to get a FG attempt. Jones throws it in the dirt.

I wouldn't characterize yesterday as Bridgewater getting the ball out quick at all. He extended plenty of plays and often went to second and third reads.
Is this what the radio broadcast really said?

I take it more as an FU to the offense. That midfield 4th and 2 to them was worth the risk because we couldn't get the ground game going at all.
Yesterday we saw what happens when aggressive playcalling meets timid playcalling. As much as I want Garrett to workout here I'm seeing exactly what happened in Dallas despite all that talent he had to work with - just not very creative.

Agreed. I would also say Giant fans should get used to this happening more often because other teams have little concern the NYG Offense will burn them with a short filed if they don't convert on 4th down.
There is minimal threat coming for a team that has no chance of scoring 20 points a game with these players/scheme.

They were facing Graham and his boys. Apples and oranges.
Jones and guys like Golladay, Rudolph, Toney and Barkley need the reps together because the latter missed so much time.
