If the Giants can't beat Taylor Heinicke on a short week after not spending the offseason preparing to be a starter, things could start getting ugly around here.

Especially since we've had their number hte last few years. Failing to beat Washington would show the final signs of a regression from last year. At that point everyone would have to be on notice.
yesterday so I'm not sure it's a major loss for them
If we keep Heinicke in the pocket I think it's going to lead to a few turnovers our way. When Heinicke gets out of the pocket, he's much more dangerous.

Really, things could START getting ugly??? You mean people might start getting upset?:)

Haha! Solid point, it already is ugly as it should be. A loss Thursday will start the "lose out and get the number 1 pick" train going though!
were less about how good Bridgewater is and more about having all day to throw. I have to look up how good Heineke is, but if he can't take advantage of time in the pocket and guys running free in the secondary, he shouldn't be on the roster. I guess the question is whether Denver's Oline is that good, or the EDGE guys we have are that bad.
for a week two matchup, but this seems like a pride game now. If the Giants don't come to Washington pissed off and ready to execute it should tell us quite a bit about where they are to begin the season.
That might not mean a win, but it sure as hell needs to translate into much better play...and a competitive 4th quarter.

.
He certainly is more athletic than Fitzmagic.
He might not take some deep shots down the field.
If they score more than 17 points we are in trouble. Teams will do some version of what we saw yesterday until we prove we can beat it. DJ is a smart hard working kid. He will always have turnover issues. He is who he is. Sadly, when his future could be at stake, he is tied to the wrong OC. JG just isn’t any good. The game plan sucks and Jones is thinking too much. At this point how terrible would it be to give the reins to kitchens?
Giants have been making backup quarterbacks look like

If the D is as lost on Thursday as they were on Sunday, it doesn't matter who the skins put out there as QB.
