they are deficient, and significantly deficient, at 3 main areas on offense. coordinator, QB, and offensive line. you cannot win like this. you need to be good to very good in at least 1 of the 3 to have any chance.
a great coordinator can maximize the talent of the offense and make crappy players look good. look no further than shurmur. while i didn't love his actual play-calling, his offensive design was a million times better than the Clapper. he had inferior WRs, a crappy line, and the same crappy QB, and the offense was not awful.
a good QB can make a bad coordinator and line look better than they are by adjusting things at the line pre-snap and can extend plays and make the right reads and know when and how to take chances. daniel jones does none of these things.
a good line can make both a bad QB and bad coordinator look good by providing so much time and just moving people in the run game that bad play calls end up looking good.
the giants have none of these things and honestly have no chance on offense. and the worst part of this team sucking so much is they don't even put out a good product to watch. there is losing and there is complete ineptitude. the giants are boring and predictable and honestly unwatchable when they are on offense.
and joe judge does not get a pass for the Clapper. i don't care if mara forced him on judge or not. he is the head coach of this team. he does not get a free pass for the offense while he is the head coach.
one other final thought. this team seems too focused on not turning the ball over and forgot that you actually have to score points to win games.
that doesn't mean shit. how have the recent high draft picks worked out? thomas, barkley, and jones are all top 10 picks. we had a premium pick this year that we turned into toney and unknown picks next year
what are we doing?
Was the offense good? Fuck no it wasn't, but its hard to get in a rythm on offense when you don't have a good OL and you are sitting on the bench ten minutes at a time. Thos are the facts. Look at what happened to the Packers yesterday.

they scored 7 fucking points! 7! and last year they were next to last in scoring while the packers were first. do not compare the giants offense to the packers

Even blind squirrels find a nut sometimes.
I am not sure why I said that because I love Gettleman. But, Football is not a sport that happens overnight like for instance Basketball.
Draft Picks (working out) - nobody ever really knows. 6 round picks end up in the HOF and first rounders are out of the league in 3 years, Coaching and recognizing what your talent is and adjusting to what is in front of you, and injuries/lucky breaks .... everything has to line up in the NFL universe perfectly and that equals a championship.
I really thing it is a LOT harder than most people realize.
