Wanted to post a few thoughts after I cooled down after the game.
I think the defense has the capacity to be really good. I know they couldn't get off the field yesterday but there is a ton of talent there. I agree with Stink, the backend can be a serious problem if they get their act together.
Bradberry is good. McKinney is really explosive. Ryan is good. I think the pressure will come once they see what they can do, especially in man.
I do hope Robinson or Jackson can replace Holmes sooner rather than later.
Sterling is in the best shape of his career. I thought he was overpaid but he is looking like he will earn this year's pay. I think he will be money on 3rd down all year and will score more as well.
Golladay - holy cow, can we throw him the ball early? That dude just swamps the ball. Get him involved earlier than the 2nd half. He impressed me.
I think a coordinated plan for Barkley would be great. Give him some screens on 1st down. RPO him with Jones. Sounds cliche but get him into space. Between the tackles is great but he can do more.
I like Ojulari, he's going to be very good.
Martinez had the worst game Ive seen him play as a Giant. I know he'll bounce back.
Dexter was either doing the still moonwalk or he was being held. He literally stopped moving forward with noone in front of him.
I think the OL will improve, especially in the run game. If that happens, the offense will really start to cook. Garrett operates this way, he had that great OL. If that doesnt work the O will stagnate. I think Judge will rotate in and out until he finds the best combo, we just haven't seen it yet,
Jones - does Judge's faith in him start to waver? Mike Glennon says no, he's the guy. Since only 6'7" (10" is neck though) Mike is behind Jones, there's nowhere to go. The worst part for me was near the endzone, the Broncos took away Jones first reads and the kid looked like he just panicked, had no idea what to do. Contrast that with a journeyman like Bridgewater who was able to move around and escape and create. Bridgewater is not fast people! Can Jones relax in the face of pressure and having to create? That will be his key. I haven't given up on Jones but he needs to have a Lazarus moment, when it clicks for him and he can operate inside the intensity with urgent calm. I think the moment will come for him to show it, will he pass? We'll see, I hope so.
We got out healthy, a nice piece on a short week. I do think they play a lot better vs WAS. Let's go week 2, I'm glad its a short week!
He did have a red zone target on 4th down that was tipped away.
The DBs were playing off him.
I did not see Olujari do anything. He got no push and his one sack came when Teddy stepped up. He might become a great player but he did not do anything yesterday that I could see.
Not trying to be negative. But I think the praise of Gollsday and Olijari is based on preconceived notions. Not anything they did on the field yesterday.

I disagree on Ojulari. I thought he was active and disruptive, but made 2 glaring rookie mistakes: 1) didn't wrap up Teddy for the sack which lead to a big gain and 2) the blow to the head penalty.
Golladay should be used lime we used Plax. Throw it up for him to go get it.
No adjustments were made at halftime. Bridgewater was still throwing and completing passes over the slow LB's and ahead of saftey coverage at haltime.
Garret play calling was really bad. The recievers this team has we should be playing something like the old run and shoot. Not an exact copy of what Houston did back in the day..but something similar

Seriously? Golladay is not a fast reciever who gets a lot of separation. He is one of the best contested catch reciever in the league. If he is not doubled, you throw the ball to him and he goes an gets it. That is the reason we pay him the big bucks. After a couple of those he gets doubled and the field opens up.
Plus hard to get speration when using a Jason Garret route tree but that is a whole other discussion.
Do the Giants recall the bootleg plays that Jones ran successfully last year? Seems that he can mix those in with the QB draws up the middle.
Seems like the Giants short passing game involves a receiver going to a spot, and waiting for the ball to be delivered. Is the problem that Jones cannot hit short crossing routes or was Denver playing only zone yesterday?
Seemed that Barkley missed a few open running lanes yesterday where the right cut could have gained him some yards. Cannot put this all on the OL.
Jones is effective when they move the pocket. Shurmur did it often. Kitchens did it last year in the one game he ran

on his sack he had no push at all. Coverage sack.
he got totally abused on Gordon's long touchdown run he let himself get destroyed by TE and Gordon ran right through that gap.
He's only a rookie, so hopefully improves, but I didn't think he played well.
