Gettlemen not held accountable for the state of this line. He told everyone to their face, they like their guys, they know more then the free world. He looks like a complete fool, again I guess, and everyone who hates him in the media is justified in their ridicule.

The line actually wasn't terrible as a whole. The left side was pretty good. The right side....not so much.

Same exact thought. Why is Dave Gettleman treated as if his resume is some proven legendary winner? Yeah team building takes time but are we even confident the OL is better this year than any of his other seasons as GM? Why the lifetime contract?
looked like a ghost gut punched him before he held the defenders hand into Jones. This is almost as gross as our other RT literally not moving on a play.
That was so bad. Even worse by opening up that much
and Yes Solder has been an underperforming player since he got here. But was he really that bad yesterday? Was our offensive line the reason we lost yesterday? I actually thought our pass protection was reasonable yesterday, maybe not great but ok (run blocking was a different story)
If he did his job Jones should have had a pocket to step up into and if not make a play, at least be able to throw the ball away. The Vets on this OL are playing like rookies.
Looked like he got a hands to the face. I don't know off the top of my head how he did the rest of the game but I think the ref should have thrown a flag on that play.
impossible to have a functional line with 2 of the 5 positions being atrocious. However, I think Lemieux/Brederson will eventually lock down the LG spot. Can Peart develop and be a decent RT? Solder is NOT the answer. If Judge thinks he is, than that's on him. ( A feeling that is growing inside me )
I think THIS is a bigger issue... okay Gettleman whiffed on Solder... (it happens) but where is the progress with building the OL? Identifying who to draft? Who can be developed. Any team can blow a Solder signing.
For the most part the horrible center caused Solder to look worse
Solder with the Pats and most tackles would wash the speed rusher right past the backside of their QB. QB intern would step up in pocket. Giants centers prior to Gates continuously got bull rushed in to the pocket causing Manning and Jones to have to drift back in Pocket causing the speed rushers to reach in and blow them up.

There is no pocket to step up into. Not just this play, but on most. People complain about Jones's lack of pocket presence. How is he going to become better at something that hardly ever exists. This is still a bad line. Let's hope it's gets better as the season progresses else they'll be nothing to watch and no objective way of analyzing Jone's progress.

You really think Solder started at RT in the first game because Judge thinks he is the answer?
If so, you should get that feeling inside of you checked out asap.
insulting prick, you have a reading comprehension problem. He started Solder because he felt he has not choice. He doesn't think Peart is ready. NOT that he thinks Solder is the answer. My point is, Solder is a known quantity- crap. Peart, at least can be developed. Keeping him on the bench holds any hope for the RT spot from developing. My "feeling" is that Judge mis-judges his options at positions, and makes the wrong decision.

On his very first day, he stood in front of the media and all fans and declared that he was going to find the "HAWG MAWLLIES" that were going to turn this franchise around.
So far, he has failed in that endeavor, which he claimed was his top priority.
Some fans will continue to celebrate the work he's done, despite the fact that this team has never broken .500 since he's been GM. He might actually be the worst GM this team has ever had.

I didn't focus in on Solder much after that though but presumably he looked better. Or not?

was should be wasn't
When I saw it live, I thought it was Rudolph trying to block Von Miller.
If Solder isn't beat, Hernandez's guy is getting home.
His cap hit is 5th or 6th highest as a right tackle.
Solder looked bad but what evidence, beyond wishful thinking, makes you think Peart is better?
wrong. he's looked completely cooked for 33 games now
I don't really think these guys know what an O-Line person is, does, looks like, plays like or anything.
Don't they look at the other teams that play us and say "Oh....that is what an O-Lineman is supposed to do?"
Instead, this constant failure of finding O-Linemen by this regime constantly baffles me. It baffles me.

Disgusting. A year off obviously has not done him any good.
Unfortunately Peart looks equally awful.

The really brutal part is the Giants made this decision in the Spring, without really having seen him back on the field.
Great guy, bad football player.
More relevant, where else has Judge misjudged his options at positions to give you this continuous feeling?
He deserves it not, but us fans do.

I can't speak for him, but our Special Teams looked outstanding.
He looked shot in 2019, sat out, considered retiring, and the Giants still guaranteed him 3M this year.
That depends on who is the "we"?

That rep should be turned into a gif.
You can you use it when you're ready to start w/o someone.

I know one constant in personnel over this putrid stretch and it's none of the guys you named.
Yet, somehow, he's our starting RT in 2021.
That in and of itself just tells you how utterly broken this organization is at assembling talent.
