Truly one of the greats, in an era were comedy is shifting more towards shock value and volume - he kept to his style. And nobody could craft and deliver a joke better
The delivery, the voice, the balance of vulgar/"classy", the long-form jokes that he would tell... he truly had a style of his own that no one else in today's comedy world really tried to replicate.
I would often go on YouTube binges where I'd watch sets, interviews he had with Conan, podcasts he did/was on... he was just so damn good at dropping bombs out of nowhere and making you burst out laughing. I just recently saw his "Dog the Bounty Hunter" comments on Dennis Miller after Dog was outed as a racist, just the way he effortlessly destroyed was just different.
This one really stinks. I was such a big fan of his. He was just way too young. RIP Norm, you were a legend.
I saw him a bunch of years ago at the Nokia Theater
in midtown. I always liked him, but thought he was a little hit or miss, but seeing him live gave me a real appreciation for his talent. He did so much improvising, and you can see him going off on a tangent. Some times it didn't work, but far more often it did. Very sad news, a really talented guy. RIP and fuck cancer.
one of the few funny comedians that was left IMO. Too many try to be politically correct, which results in them not being very funny, to put it mildly.
one of the funniest comedians I've ever seen live. Patrice another. Greg Giraldo was also hilarious. Sadly, I've yet to see Chappelle. Saw Jim Breuer and didn't laugh once. Jim Norton is great live too.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure... if you die, the cancer also dies at exactly the same time. So that to me is not a loss; that's a draw. It's not like... the cancer's going to jump up and go, "Arrrgh I fucked Uncle Bert's wife, where is he? I won fair and square."
upset over this. Dirty Work is always playing in this house once a week on top of other stuff he was in
Me and my buddy reference and quote from that all the time.
It's one of my favs too. It's so cheap low budget looking and juvenile and politically incorrect and Norm was (admittedly) a terrible actor. The critics *hated it* but I love it for those exact reasons.
Such a talent that I always enjoyed and got his weird sense of humor.
Dirty Work still remains one of my favorite comedies.
Heaven just got a little bit more funnier.
RIP Norm
Dirty Work may be one of the funniest movies ever made

Apprently he's had it for ten years but never told anyone because he wanted attention only for his comedy.

God, I loved Patrice on the O&A show. Guy was so funny

He didn't give a damn.
He didn't give a damn.
Yeah. How quickly that changed over night.

Read this and more from the pages of her new book "I'm An Idiot"

Artie Lange outlives everyone else from that cast.
RIP
Couldn't have said it better. Damn, this hurts.
FUCK Cancer ...
I turned 60 in May of this year.
RIP MR. MacDonald.
