My hesitation is that I suspect Mahomes to have one of these unforgettable record-setting seasons. And even though a Giants fan I love watching him play (and score for my FF team). Nothing logical.
My plan is to let this week play out and then go after Barkley for pennies on the dollar after the week. Barkley owners are probably freaking out right now.
Many people like to use the best player metric and I think Mahomes is the best player in the trade.
yes Barkley has the potential to be a game changer, and Allen being in the trade softens the blow of trading Mahomes, but how much is your team improving and when is Barkley startable? Clearly he's not yet.
So, are you starting 44 year old Tom Brady or Josh Allen or both?
If still Tom Brady you traded Mahomes for a backup QB (or insurance at QB) and backup RB.
I'm not saying don't trade Mahomes but if you don't get the best player in the trade it should be clear by trading a player like Mahomes how your team has improved. I'm not clear on that with this trade for Tony.
i would of done that trade. Allen has one good year, who knows if it was a fluke. Saquon hasnt done anything to show he is back. Not saying it would be an easy decline, but i dont think id do it.
There's little doubt that you're going to win that one. Allen was my QB1 over Mahomes going into the draft anyway, and to get Barkley on top of that is a big win.
Make sure you bench Barkley this week. I'm probably benching him until week 4 but expect big things after that.
about trading for Barkley is like asking a fat kid if he wants cake. Are you willing to wait half a season to see a productive Barkley? With this Oline, he may struggle to be a top 10 fantasy RB all year. Not to mention, Allen may be a one year wonder...he looked terrible last week.
Without knowing your total RB situation, impossible to analyze the trade. I'd just trade Brady for a RB and keep Mahomes.
I think he’s earned a pass. But I don’t make this trade because you can’t start both QBs so if I’m trading Mahomes I want a monster RB or WR or a package of 2 non-QBs that are both upgrades to your starters.
Like I might discover the secret to anti-gravity and invent the flying family car.
As long as he's healthy he's going to be terrific. So much of his value is in running with the football. Plus his arm is probably the strongest in the NFL, he's going to get his share of huge plays. He's practically the Bills' goalline back.
Allen is an absolute stud and there is a decent enough chance he'll be QB1 overall in fantasy this year (again).
I'm trying to get him in a few of my leagues. My keeper league will be tough, but I actually offered Jonathan Taylor for SB and Ravens defense in another league. If he rejects, I'm open to taylor for SB straight up and I'd probably even sweeten the pot a little if necessary.
SB's matchups will be getting a lot easier starting this week and they will start to get in a groove. I think SB has a huge week this week and will become way too expensive.
If not, and Brady winds up your QB1 - then why bother to have Allen as your QB2.
That you're also getting Josh Allen makes it incomprehensible that you would even think about this.
If it's a 2QB league, you still do this trade in a heartbeat unless you have 4 RBs better than Barkley
A little bit. But even if he is, the trade is still relatively fair
I wouldn't trade Mahomes at all. He and Brady combined for 165 points in my league....of 283 points total.
It is a QB driven league and we can start two per week....but I wouldn't trade Mahomes. He is the best player in football.
Do you start 1 QB or 2?
