Crazy to say it this early in the season but Week 2 is a must win game for the giants. No one expected the Giants to lose like they did week 1 vs the Broncos. The defense played bad, play calling for the offense was terrible, & turning the football over at the worse moment. Jone is in his 3rd year and he can't keep making the same mistakes; he has to not go for the first read every time you throw the ball. The offensive line was the bright spot in week 1 vs Denver, but they only played against Von Miller and couldn't create holes in the run game. Gettleman continues to ignore the offensive line and his draft aint that far off from Jerry Reese who also drafted terrible.
The Giants have to win tomorrow's game vs the Football team if they want to survive this season. If they lose and start 0-2, chances of making the playoff is slim and people will be attacking Daniel Jones, Dave Gettleman, Patrick Graham, & Joe Judge. The schedule will get harder after the Falcons game and everyone in the division including the Eagles look better than us.
If the Giants win vs Redskin and beat the Falcons, they will start 2-1 and the fans and the team will feel confident they are in a good place and take it one game at a time. People can say its only 1 game, but the Giants are not a good football team for the past few years. Good teams like the Packers, Bills, Colts, & Titans will bounce back since they are a good team to overcome (The Giants are not in the same class as those teams yet).
I guarantee you if the giants win 5 to 6 game this season, Daniel Jones, Dave Gettleman, and Jason Garrett will all be gone (maybe Joe Judge also if the new GM wants his own coach). By that time we will be continuing the rebuild and won't be good in the coming years. There is a lot of ifs and buts with this team, all we can do is hope for the best and go from there.
It is my opinion that you are the same person as nygGolfer and chick310, and were LBH15. Now I can't prove it, so you can tell me to shove it.
It's quite easy.
This would be incorrect Inspector Clouseau. The drama never stops from some.
And if he didn’t already, let me tell you to shove it.
It isn't the nail in the coffin but 0-2 isn't a good spot to be historically in the NFL.
Yeah, but this is a 17 games season... ;)

Haha, agree Chick310.
Would suggest crick is just having a tough time of it lately as tries to replace his buddy, the archivist...

if the Giants are tied for first place at 7-7 in December, how is this a must win game?
This.
Fans are very emotional and reactive. That's what it means to be a fan. But there are no must-win games in September. Better to win than lose, and we all hate being 0-2 (so, so tired of that) but the season's not over at 0-2 — though there will be lots of rage-posts on BBI insisting that it is, and that everyone should go.
Maybe everyone should go but losing this game won't be the reason.
If the Giants lose this week, then somehow beat ATL and Carolina, they'll most likely be 2-6 after 8 games. Then they're going 5-1 in the next 6? Zero chance that happens...7-7 is a pipe dream.
This is a must win game, with a chance to go 2-1 before a VERY tough stretch. Lose this one, this team is headed for 2-6 or 1-7.

That said if the Giants lose this week and win the next six games they will be 6-2…
…So there’s that.
In fact, there’s only one thing we can say for sure about this game and it’s that Bob Papa and Carl Banks will complain about the lousy location of the Giants radio broadcast booth. Expect a hard fought division battle between two rivals. But win or loose, the season is still far too young for a must win game.
