Almost all the pundits thought it was a value choice in the second round.
Year 1 seemed to cnfirmed that.
So there's talent there, that seems undeniable.
Talent unfulfilled is usually the result of work ethic, swollen head issues, ego, drugs, personal circumstances,or even psychological problems.
I remember word out of camp of D. Lawrence tearing up the hammocks, one man, they said, could stand up to him. So the talent seems undeniable. Will Hernandez worked througout the offseason, almost hired a Rodan, attended informal camps for the QB and WR's.
And he was lousey Last Sunday. Really lousy.
I'm not a very good prograstinator, but I'm pretty good at putting things together AFTER the fact. But I don't get it,there's something wrong.
Usually you turn to coaching, if all the other boxes bear check marks.
I'm not ready to do that, not yet anyway.
But I'll tell you this, the anti Gett yowlers notwithstanding, the defense is loaded personnalwise. Maybe the best secondary, since Patton, Lynch, Nolan and Barnes...only deeper. A superb front. Very good linebackers (though some might disagree) with Martinez, Crowder, Azeezi, Coughlin, CArtier Ximines and Ragland.
Potential probowlers types???, just cheating a little and I can see about six (Bradbury, Adoree, Logan, Martinez, Lawrence, Williams). After that there's more upper tier talent and good solid role players: Shelton, McKinney, Love, Holmes, Johnson & Johsson, Peppers.
Too early for solid accussations or conclusions, but not too early to wonder, because the only way you can hold that much talent back is through inferior coaching.
And they were beyond bad. My awful sense of it was, that Denver could have scored quickly, but they were dragging it out the way a kid pulls wings off a fly...to prolong the torture.
One game, one overreaction. I'll calm down, but I've had my wings plucked too. And hideous thoughts swirl, I'm going to check the details, but my memory say..... Taylor, Theisman, Monday night and we're AHEAD when tragedy strikes THEM. And Washington beat us with a back-up.
