Just happened to be in my pool. I was swimming on my back looking up at the half moon and stars and then saw the fire rising into the sky, coming from the SE. I got out quick and banged on window to wife and son. We watched it and it's tail til we couldn't see it anymore.
I live in St. Augustine, which is 100 or so miles north of Cape Canaveral. I've seen quite a few launches, some planned, some just by accident like tonight. Always fun.
catching a ride to space could be as normal as jumping on a flight across the country.
I doubt this will ever be the case, considering the amount of fuel needed and how much fuel will cost, coupled with the lack of utility of actually going to space.
People fly across the country all the time because they need to get somewhere. Nobody needs to get to outer space.

Could be a ridiculously fast way to get across the country or halfway around the world. Los Angeles to London in 45 minutes....

Someone's gonna leave the gravitational pull of the earth to come right back down and get from NYC to LA? Take another bong rip bro

Newark to Singapore is like 18-19 hours normally.....could be nice.
I saw that rocket go over Charleston SC last night....and it was awesome.
Our local weatherman is a space-geek, his evening weather report gave us the tip to 'heads-up' at 8pm.
Sure enough, that rocket came out of the SouthEast. I think that was actually Main Engine Cut-Off, and you could see the First Stage falling away. It landed safely saving Big Bucks on the next flight.
Then they lit the 2nd Stage Engines and that baby kicked into high gear.
Thanks for sharing.
Man still awe inspiring. Love the external cameras.
Space suits look cheap
