I'm really not a hockey guy, but know the story as it got a lot f play around here in the papers. But one of my long-time, best friends' family owns the biggest hockey store in the region, and is well aquatinted with the rink and story. He said the doc was well done, and covered much of what he knew, but also left out some stuff he knew about, as expected, but he thought the doc was good, and covered it pretty well.
Haven't seen the show and I don't know anything about this team
Some of the content actually felt like I was watching a fictional movie. I went to school with a few people associated with the main characters. Although I haven’t seen or heard from any of them in decades perhaps this is why I found it such a good watch. It was only about a hour twenty long and want to watch it again.
It is a fascinating story, but glad that team folded and is gone. It is the stereotype of hockey that many people believe is reality.
