but yeah, the TNF quality of football is pretty low. That's one of the reasons I expect tonight's game to be especially ugly. 2 division rivals, both mediocre, and then add in playing on a Thursday. It's a recipe for ugly.
The mini-bye following tonight’s game could be huge. Graham’s preseason presser indicated he was worried about lack of practice with all the key pieces in place. Basically said he expected a slow start IIRC. OL obviously in the same boat. If CBA doesn’t hamstring practice opportunities following midweek game, we could see a lot of things cleaned up.
nothing like 4 days rest (technically just 3) to keep guys nice and fresh for the season. It’s always been a mostly bad product and I can find other stuff to do Thursday night so I never need it to be on. Surprised they haven’t added a Wednesday night game yet.

I hate next weeks TNF game too. This has nothing to do with the Giants.
I’ve been looking forward to this Giants game all day. But even when it’s not the Giants I love the Thursday night game. It’s football! There’s no NFL game I won’t turn on and watch.
And I am absolutely phucquing DREADING this one tonight.
And I gotta hit gym around 530 AM tomorrow...

Just another case of the owners (1) not caring about safety and (2) pulling the wool over the players' eyes.
The NFLPA is such a disaster.
To be fair, the quality of football in this game would be bad no matter which night of the weak it was played. Might as well get it over with.
