but we all could see the depth problems coming into this. QB on a rookie deal, bad team. Shouldn't have these kinds of obvious depth problems. Shouldn't have had to spend more draft capital and trade a good DL player to compensate for lack of foresight either.
Many were harping on this all offseason. Giants think they are smarter than everyone else no matter how much data they get to show they aren't. Who cares though right? Their GM knows how to remain pompous despite lack of success so who needs data analysis skills when you've got that?
Well maybe if the Giants knew how to plan at all they wouldn't have needed to move Gates off the position he was great at. Like this kind of stuff, where Price is blamed when Gates should have never been moved of the position he was thriving at in the first place says everything about the Giants problems
Agree on both. Gates was the one constant. Leave him alone. Gates wasn't playing well at LG at all. He was constantly getting pushed back. We got worse at two positions before the injury.

They signed 2 veteran offensive line who then both just retired. I mean cmon.
left the team because they didn't like it. That is 100% management's fault. And that doesn't excuse it. We all saw the signings and said it wasn't enough. Only the team polyanna's were saying we had the horses. We didn't most of us knew it as casual observers. There is no defense for this.

And yet, the offensive line hasn't been all that bad. Competent. It's our defense that's been absolutely garbage, not sure why you are zeroing in on this right now. Graham should be public enemy number 1 aroudn these parts right now. We got out and get him a second corner because "he wants to play more man" and we get soft zone cusions on the 15.
And lets be real here, without the complete clusterfuck of
because their asset allocation is a shit show and we used the 20th pick in the draft on a toy for the offense. We signed Golladay to a big contract too and we didn't sure up our best unit at all. We let Tomlinson walk. Losing Tomlinson and Hill when that was a strength is no good. The Giants should be able to make these assessments and instead they are always playing whack a mole. And the crazy part is everyone dissed Reese and him and DG have the same problem. They don't seem to understand how to put together a team. Toney was a stupid pick the way some of our units are playing right now. It looked like a stupid pick at the time. But the Giants have these narratives like we gotta get Daniel Jones some weapons and it seems like they are guessing and hoping vs. having some kind of plan or knowledge of team building.
Plus if you don't think the OL is going to be a problem this season the way it's shaping up that seems like a big lol to me.
RE: And lets be real here, without the complete clusterfuck of
fucking up coming out of a timeout and phantom hold, we'd most likely hav 17 points at least at halftime. Get a grip.
Oh yeah, let's keep picking apart a timeout usage and a hold. People like you have been doing that for almost a decade now. If not for this, "we play all these games close, we were inches away from that"
This team sucks. The front office sucks. Stop acting like we are onto something here, we aren't. This game should have been a cake walk.

Your right it should be much easier considering how well the offense has performed. But there's been a big coaching snauf, a really bad fucking call, and Graham is fucking lost. Thats the reality of this game. Why you are focusing in on the offensive personnel that has actually been fine tonight is mindblowing. Do you not see what is going on the other side of the ball?
where the coaches are great then the coaches are not great. It's this it's that it's everything other than pointing the fingers at the real thing that needs to happen. A MAJOR overhaul at the top.

Fulton was roster fodder and Looney was signed after camp started. Let's not act like DG's master plan was disrupted by their retirements. If those guys retiring are the reason why the OL is in shuffle mode even before Gates' injury, that says more about DG's failure to get the OL fixed than it does about Fulton and Looney retiring.

Well you can pick and choose on who you think is saying that. But I've been impressed with Garrett tonight (especially considering the big WR we just signed is still acclimating - he makes some of those plays in his sleep) Graham, lol hopefully we are up so he can call the defense they way he wants.
You put thought behind your posts and you aren't delusional

and Lemieux, but once they got going the line was about as good as we have seen in a long time. That was no joke of a Dline and they did pretty well.
As Aikman said, that was the most time Jones had to throw since he came into the league, in his view.

This comment aged very well. Like milk.
What about that comment aged poorly?
Because this awful loss had nothing to do with anything except piss
poor coaching. It’s one of they key factors in the NFL and Judge completely whiffed tonight. Graham is a one trick pony and he needs to adjust based on the players he is given and am sure asked for. Playing bend don’t break nonsense against QBs in back to back weeks that is there actual strong suits tells me that Graham is my scheme come hell or high water guy.

The coaches did suck tonight, but that doesn't mean that the comment was wrong, or that it aged poorly. We've had three consecutive coaching staffs, two different GMs, and countless players all repeat similar mistakes.
At some point, you have to find the common denominator. And it's not milk.
RE: You put thought behind your posts and you aren't delusional
you give some kind reads but I get where you are coming from.
I'm just fed up with this team and all the excuses. It's a new set every year and they never make real changes at the top. Enough is enough.
@Gaterade the funny thing is what didn't age well is this. Me trying with the olive branch of calling him not delusional. And then him acting like it was MY comment that didn't age well. It's honestly shocking enough that he would feel like his viewpoint was even validated in a minor way vs. mine. The fact that he would actually try to call mine out as if I was the one that was off base. (Emoji with head blow partially off)
You know it's finally time to come out and say it. I'm not rooting against them. But I don't mind when they lose, it doesn't faze me anymore. Not because I don't want them to win, it's quite the opposite. I think the best chance of them not being at best mediocre is them being so terrible that it brings a level of embarrassment that somehow breaks the ego of the Giants front office. Apparently not having a winning record for 4 years, one of 3 teams to do that isn't enough to get these idiots to stop looking at themselves as visionaries. So hey, why not? Let's go darker.
Maybe when Mara doesn't get to walk around the streets of New York as a "good guy" he might actually do something to make things different for real. Maybe he needs to be properly heckled instead of this bullshit where people are like, well if they used their 2nd timeout 3 seconds earlier we would have definitely won that game. In fact, I think it's the coin flips. They are against us. If the coins liked us more, and we won more of them. We'd have 6 more wins over the last 3 years. If Joe Judge just had a few more challenge flags.
Honestly I'm over it. If fat Gettleman wants to surface. Or the idiot from Connecticut. Come defend this bullshit. Or come tell us that we are stupid for having a problem with it. Because as of now, anyone that was skeptical was right. We couldn't beat a division rival, who basically was our only saving grace last year, two of our 6 wins against them. We couldn't beat them with an emergency QB.
Just like admit you are a pathetic franchise at this point and make some real changes or just admit you don't give a shit about anything but your own ego. You don't get to be a good person and fuck over your fans like this. Pick one.
RE: You put thought behind your posts and you aren't delusional
Nothing against Golladay, but looking back it seems the GIants were hell bent on taking a WR in the first round. Smtih was off the board, so they traded down and took Toney. That being the case, why not sign a big ticket OL in FA instead of a WR??
you give some kind reads but I get where you are coming from.

Gettleman? How was last night his fault?
Mara? He is not selling the team so forget about that.
How about for starters you hire a real Vice President of Player Evaluation vs. your brother. Fire DG. Bring in someone from the outside. Mara isn't going to go but he can act like he gives a shit about fixing this. Those steps 1 and 2.

Not really sure why they didn't just leave Gates at C and play Price or Bredeson at LG

Oh my God. That was one of the worst injuries I have ever seen. I hope he is able to recover from that.
OMG ... I am no watching the game (because I can't).
Yeah that is broken.
That looks almost as bad as the Theismann leg snap ... Although Theismann was worse and more complete. Gates has to be done for the season.

Was that the D that Graham wanted to call?

BBI guys are just a bunch of dopes (and drunks)….
Pathetic…
This comment aged very well. Like milk.
We'd be in dire straights without these new guys.
The line played well tonight from a pass pro perspective.
