Everyone touting that Judge is making the decisions in the drafts and touting the draft. Every player they asked for they got. Melvin Ingrams available and Judge and Graham wanted Jackson. Mara has given these guys all the money they want. I don’t see Mara and gettleman making the calls on being gutless and playing soft zone and never bringing extra rushers or ever running stunts with the down linemen. Do they decide to settle for 3 or punt from the 39. Nope that’s the pu$$ who is head coach.
why on earth are you throwing before the 2 min warning? I know a first down ends the game, but the route was short of the first and running the clock was way more important.
- BS holding call
- D easily picked apart, soft…again
- can’t rush the passer AT ALL…again
- slayton drop
- can’t run the ball (from a RB) consistently
- stupid penalties at bad times
- unimaginative play calling after the pick
Jones played his heart out. OL better in pass pro in the second half after losing Gates. Yet, we find ways to lose.
Big picture, right now our D is a bigger problem than the O
I don't see it with Saquon. Average vision, average pass blocking and he just never finishes runs. He runs soft. Not my style of RB. I wouldn't resign him.
He'll get an extension though since his jersey sells.

the very best thing that can happen to this team is 0-17. They are completely stuck spinning their wheels with Gettleman in charge and they need to have a season that leaves the owners with absolutely no choice. He has completely mismanaged the draft, destroyed the roster through ill-advised trades, and hired a coach that does not look like he's going to work out.
I love the Giants and always want them to win, but if we need to tank to turn this thing around with two top ten picks next spring being made by a new GM, then so be it.
But I'm not out. Last week was horrific. If Jones can maintain this level of play and if the playcalling can find their balls, if Saquon improves - there will be more wins, progression, and I can live with it. Still want to find out what happens - but this was a punch in the dick.
You can’t have coaches who don’t put players in position to win.
Yea but he's strict, wears short sleeve hoodies and looks like a perennial gym teacher.. Like Bill. So he must be good. Funny how all Bill's proteges pick up only the bad and pointless habits lmao.
That not only did we lose the game on an offsides penalty on special teams, but it was actually THE FUCKING NOSEGUARD?? He’s literally looking right at the ball. What the fuck?
And I don’t want to hear any horseshit about “well we lost the game long before that”…. No, technically it’s true 99% of the plays can’t be pointed to as a singular reason we lost, but that one quite literally CAN. It was literally the difference between us winning and losing at that point.
* OL looked good in second half
* Jones with one of the best games of his career
* Might not need a QB next draft
* Don't need to sign Saquon to second contract
* If they keep playing like this and keep Jones clean, they can win some games this year
This team aint winning more then 3 games the rest of the season. Goodbye Judge , goodbye Gettleman , Season is over
Gettleman maybe. But Mara's not paying THREE head coaches next year. He's still on the hook for one more year of Shurmur (the offset for his OC salary in Denver isn't that much), which means that Judge has at least one more year before he gets canned.
Can;t bring in a new GM with a lameduck coach. Asking for trouble.
Judhe hasn't done anything to deserve a 3rd season. Wipe the slate clean and start from scratch next season
I'm not saying they should keep Judge over Gettleman. It's entirely possible that they keep Gettleman too. Or that he "retires" like Coughlin and Gilbride did.
I'm just being realistic. Mara still has one more year left on Shurmur's contract. If he fires Judge after this season, he's paying three head coaches next year. That's not going to happen.
Fucking Barkley did nothing with the ball after the JBIV pick. But yeah, he’s a future gold jacket. Did he do anything after his 41 yard run? Where was the running game? Pathetic.
The defense was horrific. So soft in coverage. No pressure.
Did someone say we practiced special teams too much? Yeah, guess not.
But beyond pathetic and beyond gutless was the coaching.
refusal to rush more than four and insistence on playing zone killed us. Heinicke had plenty of time to throw and McLaurin killed us over the middle.
Judge had no guts after the INT. Had to at least try for the TD, especially with the way Jones was playing. Instead two runs up the middle.
Spot on. I would have rushed the house and see how well Heinicke can pass while he is running for his life. The ball less run calls after the interception were terrible. Saquon running with head down, directly into his line gave me zero confidence to hand him the ball in such an opportune time. Play to WIN!!
Young didn't fill up the stat sheet but he impacted the game. He had pressures, Thomas getting a false start trying to get an early jump on him, he wasn't invisible at all.
That’s where this crap about Gettleman comes from. Obj is overrated garbage, team sucked with him. Both of these loses is not on personal but on coaching.
I know most of the posts that I have read are bemoaning the coach, Garret, Barkley, etc.
Maybe I am just been a Giant fan for too long and lived through the Paterson Plank Joe era.
Okay we are 0-2, we were that when we came into Washington an won because Clinton Portis was on sideline on last play. That was Eli's first Super Bowl year. We had lost to the Packers the week before by 30 or so.
Anyway, I saw an offensive line that started to jell at least in the passing game. This was against what is considered one of the best defensive lines.
DJ showed what he can do with time. No stupid throws, no fumbles from blind side hits.
Sure he overthrew Slayton by a tad.
Also did you hear Aikman when he said it takes almost two years to recover from torn leg ligaments. Let's give Saquon a pass for a few games.
I hate going to bed after this but I am a cockeyed optimist and am willing to hold off for a couple of games before sounding like some of my fellow fans.
Do any of you remember the 49er playoff loss. The flipper Anderson run through the end zone out of the stadium?
Hey let's give them another week or three.
...and they have been moving the ball consistently on EVERY single drive it seemed into FG range, to play soft and go for just three after the Bradberry pick is really just awful coaching.
Game is clearly on Judge. He needs to tell Garrett make sure we get a 1st down, and its his special teams that fucked up.
- Board holding call on the Jones TD
- Slayton drop
- 3 and out at (I think) 23-20 - the possession where Slayton caught the ball out of bounds - Jones is late and slow driving the ball outside the numbers
- Awful possession after the pick - I don't know what they were thinking with those first two plays
That is a mediocre Washington team with a backup quarterback we struggled to just lose to. This is a bad Giants team that isn't going to win many games this year.

I literally do not understand how you watch that game and thin DG is the problem. He can't coach the fucking players too. Plenty of talent on that field and we had a much better QB tonight and we still managed to lose. Why? Because the coaching on the defensive side of the ball and the HC is baby shit soft.
What a terrible feeling. This sucks! It seems like we’re in a loop. The Defense was supposed to be the best unit on the team and they’ve played like absolute crap the last two games. Secondary is playing very soft coverage and allowing too many plays.
How many times can we "clean house" and bring more dirt into the house the next day?
Yeah, we never stunt our DL.

Most over rated player in football
Oh it does not end there. Even the Giants' website is like a blog from 1995
+1
It is not on either one of them tonight.
That loss is the coaching staff.
I love the Giants and always want them to win, but if we need to tank to turn this thing around with two top ten picks next spring being made by a new GM, then so be it.
Agree judge is a total bush leaguer not a real nfl head coach. Being bellicheck special teams coach doesn’t mean jack shit.
Or Saquon Barkley. Either or

is so overrated. They couldn't touch Jones in the second half and we had a completely patch-worked interior.
WHAT? That dude ALLEN RUINED OUR RUNNING GAME. He was throwing around our IOL like rag dolls!!!!
Jones had time to throw and score points. We scored 29. We should have scored 40.
Please put the sauce down...
Grow up. You know a bullshit holding penalty and a fucking drop by Slayton were the resons there. Oh and KG dropped quite a few too.

The OL was very good(at least in pass pro).
The defense struggled but I take issue with the skin more so than I’ve ever taken issue with Jason Garrett on the other side of the ball.
My $0.02
See … this is why can’t take u seriously
he was fucking invisible...my god.

Beat me to it. Great talent, but looks like a one trick pony...

We won’t consistently win again for another five to ten years. This shit ain’t over get used to it.

Yes u do
So sick of this shit
We're the only team in the NFL that hasn't had a winning record at any point during the season since 2017.
Both of them to be honest . League still promotes and acts as if Barkley is a top 5 RB in the league when in reality he is barely a starter right now
Maybe I am just been a Giant fan for too long and lived through the Paterson Plank Joe era.

Player ratings…. Whatever the fuck that actually is, is where your focus is right now?!
Jason Garrett called a pretty good game.
I don’t like him but he called a pretty good game.
Patrick Graham needs to up his game. He needs to make his players accountable and put them in a position to play downhill and aggressively.
