Giants offense played much better in the second half. Slayton's drop and Lawrence's offsides were terrible. But those played were less hurtful than the terrible coaching from Judge and Graham.
It is clear this team is not mentally prepared. It is a poorly coached team.
You can understand not having the talent to compete, but that wasn’t the case tonight. The WFT played aggressively as tried pro win. The Giants played scared and not to lose. The Giants just made too many mental mistakes…again.

Gettleman maybe. But Mara's not paying THREE head coaches next year. He's still on the hook for one more year of Shurmur (the offset for his OC salary in Denver isn't that much), which means that Judge has at least one more year before he gets canned.

I'm not saying they should keep Judge over Gettleman. It's entirely possible that they keep Gettleman too. Or that he "retires" like Coughlin and Gilbride did.
I'm just being realistic. Mara still has one more year left on Shurmur's contract. If he fires Judge after this season, he's paying three head coaches next year. That's not going to happen.
They keep losing games like this and he won't have a choice. You cannot possibly keep a staff that has performed how they have the past 2 weeks. It's not hyperbole to say it's some of the worst coaching I've ever seen in my life. And tbh it's shocking. I had fully bought into Judge. And the last 2 weeks have been so catastrophically, gut wrenching, nut twisting, throat punchingly bad that I've completely lost faith. He's a tough talking can't who can't deliver. He's a disciplinarian with an undisciplined team. He's a fucking used car salesman.

But he missed some throws, too many people bagging on Slayton for the drop but that wasn’t an easy catch. Jones put it out there a yard too far when he had about 15 yards of field to work with. I’m not taking anything away from him either, I think that kind of game is what he’s capable of when you take the shackles off him and play to his strengths a little. He can be better though.

the very best thing that can happen to this team is 0-17. They are completely stuck spinning their wheels with Gettleman in charge and they need to have a season that leaves the owners with absolutely no choice. He has completely mismanaged the draft, destroyed the roster through ill-advised trades, and hired a coach that does not look like he's going to work out.
I love the Giants and always want them to win, but if we need to tank to turn this thing around with two top ten picks next spring being made by a new GM, then so be it.
I literally do not understand how you watch that game and thin DG is the problem. He can't coach the fucking players too. Plenty of talent on that field and we had a much better QB tonight and we still managed to lose. Why? Because the coaching on the defensive side of the ball and the HC is baby shit soft.
The players have all been changed. The coaches have all been changed. There's only a few constants, and they're primarily in the front office.
The Giants have never been above .500 during Gettleman's GM tenure. Never. 50 games. None of them began or ended with the Giants having a winning record.

I don’t know why everyone is trying to discredit heineke; the dude never really got many chances but I’ve seen him in two games now and he played well including a great wild card game against the bucs.
