but you're in temporal No Man's Land. The defense is conceding the yardage short of the sticks. You can throw into a teeth of it, but you either turn it over or stop the clock with an incompletion. The end result is you leave Washington even more time to win the game.
If it were my call, I'd throw an easy completion well short of the first down, and force them to burn their final timeout. And in hindsight, I'm still not sure that would've made the difference.
I get it. But Barkley is supposed to be your money player. The guy you can turn to to put a game away. He didn't do it.
It’s 2021 Eric. Throw the ball. And if you are going to run Barkley get him into space and not rely on the run blocking (which was garbage tonight but gets a pass because they held up well in pass pro). Barkley had one explosive play and then mostly stuffed. The way DJ and Shep were playing why not go to him? Or Golladay? Or Read option?

Or a really solid play action one way, with Jones rolling the other way. One option to pass to or take off and run to the likely sparsely defended weak side.
The sole goal has to be scoring a TD. (Yes, Slayton should’ve caught the pass.) Kicking a 55 yard FG to go up 6 points is simply LOSER SHIT.
I didn’t have as much of a problem with the final drive. I wish this team had some highly efficient plays they could call to get 4 or 5 yards in that spot. But that’s Jason Garrett.
while spreading out the defense/setting up RPO threat. They ran it from two obvious running formations. It accomplished NOTHING except using Washington’s timeouts which didn’t help a defense that decided to play back until they got into field goal range.
Do you believe after we went up 6 with about 4+ minutes to play they scored in only two plays? Take Crowder is watching McKissic all the way down the field. All these secondary guys we have who are fast are on the bench instead of covering McKissic. Why have Crowder on him?
Soft gameplay again. Graham isn’t walking in water to me. If he wants to go be a HC somewhere next year, bye bye.
and in the biggest moment of the game Judge and Garret got scared me conservative and threw away two crucial downs with runs right into an 8 man front. Did the coaching staff even know how much time was left?
Wasnt even passed the line of scrimmage
Like I said on the post-game thread, they threw short of the sticks. They were kicking even if Shep caught that ball.
Make a play for the end zone if you're going to throw
Cause Jones was the best player in the field and don’t even give him a chance to run or throw on the first two downs.
I’m sorry, but Barkley shouldn’t be gttting the money carries. He just isn’t right.

If Daniel Jones had thrown three straight incompletions, I guarantee you BBI would have said, "WTF with the play calling!"

This is true. But why do you think they abandoned the RPO in the second half? Washington bit every...single...time

If you are going to be a good team, you have to be able to run the ball in the red zone.

Yes, a fake to Barkley and run that RPO to the left and then the game is over for Washington.

Very frustrating.

stop with this nonsense, watch the game man, no feel.
he had one good run all game otherwise was a nothing burget pelase.

no i dont think so, play aggressive, A FG BEATS YOU NOT A TD!
your strategy makes sense if its not just to go the 40 yard of the opponet to win the game.
Complete malpractice on their part.
