This happened to the Giants before

in 1989, the Giants lost a heart-breaking game to the 49ers at Candlestick. The Giants came from behind to take the lead, but San Francisco got a second chance to kick the game-winning field goal when Reyna Thompson of all people jumped offsides.

It was a devastating loss and became a focal point of the classic book "No Medals for Trying."

Someone should tweet that to Judge. I feel like that perfectly sums up this team. Lots of talk of greatness, yet lots of mistakes, after having more coaches on this staff than ever before.

I would take solace in this if the Giants just lost in this fashion to the defending super bowl champions studded with hall of famers. Losing this way to the team that shall not be named though ... meh.

since 2012. If you have the ball with two minutes to go down by 6 or less vs. the Giants the game is in the bag. It is a shock when they actually stop someone.

That was on of the worst gut punches i can remember. Fist pump, relief and then sadness. Worst part is - I just threw my hands up and said of course that happened. It’s the giants.

in 2006 and the defense gave up almost 80 points in the 1st two games. They were not even competitive.

Not saying this team has a chance to do what they did. But clearly they should have won this game.

We literally here this every year.. man being a Giants fan has become tough to stomach
