- If Graham and Judge decided Peppers would be a situational player like he has been, why was he not traded after his value was at his highest? Peppers has flaws, but if they are more comfortable wit Tae Crowder in the game (he was horrific last night) then we missed an opportunity to get something for Peppers.
- The OL pass protection was something of beauty last night especially in the 2nd half.
- Our three main coaches have been thoroughly out coached the first two games of the year. That has been my biggest take away and most concerning thing. Garrett calls a scared game, Graham has been beaten by mediocre at best QBs, and Judge just look woefully underprepared and coaches not to lose. The team doesn’t have much talent - but the coaches haven’t been useful at all this season.

- A lot of money has been invested in the secondary and them playing 15-20 yards off makes very little sense to me.
- CJ Board was cut, moved around the practice squad, and still got more touches and playing time than Toney. The holding call was iffy however he gets a lot of snaps it seems like for a guy who is a ST at best.

I am not sure not trading Peppers is a DG negative - I mean the coaches have to tell him to find a suitor first. All the talk was how important and a main cog he is - yet he rarely plays? I mean I’m not saying he was all-pro last year but he made a lot of plays and his value was never higher.
Here are a few things that I really don't get...
Why is the entire offense run out of shotgun? First run of the game set a nice tempo (5 yard run inside). Why not establish that and get play action going? Gilbrides signature shotgun draw has been a staple of this offense for how long now.
Can we play press man coverage and blitz? Why give a backup QB who's smart and knows the playbook, time to scan his reads on almost every play.
On a good note, the line played great at times especially in pass pro. We lose our best lineman and have two cast-offs in to fill-in this week, and probably looked better as a unit since JJ took over. Don't get that, but hope we found a few guys who can play. I was blown away by the protection on a bunch of plays I can remember. Impressive against their Dline.
This defense is passive...
You can not play bend do not break defense AND safe consevertive offense.....someone must make plays. Hoping the other team screws up is not a strategy.

The series after INT....Judge admitting his goal was to have them use TOs.... but with the 2 min TO and only needing a FG. Time was not an issue?...maybe after getting a 1st down..get clock below a minute...I might agree.
I fear Judge is a "dumb" hard nose, old school coach who happens to speak well.
Another, if we get this Jones all season, I agree we will be in position to win a few. But, this D and overall coaching will costs us more games than he will win.
Biggest point I do agree on is coaching. I said the same thing last night. All 3 of them have been outcoached in both games. It's embarrassing. Coaching not to lose is terrible. And, I like the way one poster termed it last night after the INT. That series was coached for the lead, not for the win. Big difference, and potentially a huge difference.
