i keep coming back to this. Washington had to get what....35 yards for a field goal try? It is absolutely unacceptable that in the modern NFL, as a coach, you can't just basically expect that to happen. Especially with the way the passing game is and the refs, etc...something is bound to happen. Washington was 100% going to advance the ball to at LEAST the 50.

The decision not to try and score was absolutely, 100% nonsensical in every sense of the word.

The only way it wouldn't have been, was if there was like 25 seconds left in the game.

Hell - even if there was 1 minute remaining and Washington had no timeouts, YOU STILL TRY AND SCORE. This isn't 1990. Offenses advance the ball 40 yards in 2 or 3 plays.

It's the worst decision I've seen Judge make and one of the worst regular season decisions in a long time.

They purposely were methodical to take all the time off the clock

I texted my friend and said "This has 27-26 written all over it." The second time was when they gave up trying to score after the pick.

When I went to bed, so I didn't see the end. But even in the GDT I mentioned that it felt like a Shurmur coached game. Sounds like it ended like that too
