Jones also plays better when he runs, this should become an integral part of his game and offense, risk is he will get hurt, but the Giants have the worst winning percentage in the NFL since 2017 and are 0 - 2 to start for the 5th year in a row. It's panic all hands on deck time. Spread it out and use the RPO zone read and designed runs for DJ. He becomes a better passer too when he runs and even the o line got it going a bit and actually had some consistent pass pro.

It pains me to say it, but the Giants have not been able to line up and power run it for a decade now and there is no sign of being able to anytime soon. Last night after the INT, Judge called two futile runs attacking A or B gap with the basically useless Barkley that had all the power and use of a flaccid prick. I don't have too much of a problem with running there to have Washington burn TO's, but why in crunch time call plays emphasizing what the team does worst, which is power run, and I dont want to hammer the guy since he is coming off an injury, but so far Barkley brings nothing and he is on the fast track to being a bust.

Yep, we have to run with him because it opens up so much based on how bad the line is. They literally can't run blcok and the pass pro is so-so. Plus while Barkley wasn't good yesterday, teams are clearly scared shitless of him because they didn't respect DJ on those reads. If DJ makes the right reads, protects himself, and we don't run it more than 6-7 times a game he'll stay healthy. It's not the type of play your QB gets rolled up on unless they are totally ready for it and the QB is fighting for extra yards.

He's impressively fast.
He's somewhere between the old guard straight line fast guys like Vick, RG3, Kaepernick, and the pretty fast guys like Alex Smith, Ryan Tannehill.
