Im going by the transcript, not actually watching, but this transcript could have been created by an AI program designed to speak the way coaches avoid answering questions and I wouldn't know the difference.
I don't know what on Earth you guys expect to hear from a coach. I thought he did a good job. Did you expect he was going to announce he was firing someone or cutting players and he was announcing right there to a bunch reporters? Coaches have to be very aware of how what he says will affect the individual players and the team cohesion. Yes, he understands and acknowleged that its a results oriented business and they are working toward those results. Good grief!
Guess what Joe.....maybe you end up with another chance?
Wow....what a concept.....
All I know for sure, 2min and one TO only needing a FG...
doesn't cut it and that is what you handed them
His answer there was terrible. If you want to keep the fans in your corner, take the L. Say something like "we have a ton of confidence in our run game there, but, obviously it didn't work out. As coaches, we need to re-evaluate ourselves every week and we will certainly take a look at that decision."
Instead he got really defensive. I'm a little worried he's so focused on proving he's right he's not willing to admit, even to himself, when he's wrong.
you are, what your record says you are is rightly applied here and it helps cut through platitudinal coach speak. 0 and 2, is 0 and 2 no matter how much lipstick you apply to that record.

Isn't what JJ said similar to what you expected to hear?

....You’ve got to be able to run the ball when you have to run the ball and you’ve got to be able complete passes when you have to complete passes, and that’s what we had to do in that situation there. The decision we made was the decision we made and we’ve got to execute better to finish the game out.
Some may actually interpret this statement as JJ putting the players under the bus.

Thankfully the Giants didn't believe those words when judging parcells first season.
.....he led his team to the promised land, along with BP/BB who set him free....LT cooked up the MATZO, that got his giants to the promised land... two Lombardis.....and can anyone envision some sort of cooked up "offsides" (please everyone view the tape....DL moves AT the snap, as the center moves the ball.......it was as clear as Zapurder.....it was a bogus or cooked up ref call....can you imagine that type of BS call....giving Norwood another try???????? so grateful, that did not happen......

Well, let's see, I did not see any coaches on the field, so yeah, the players did not execute.
Barkley had a pretty decent hole on 2nd down and was tripped. On third down, Jones as a touch behind Shepard and it allowed the DB to get a hand in there...
So, yeah, it was on the players.
RE: I have no doubt Judge is doing the NE media thing

We couldn't run out of tight formations all night (when we had a myriad of other stuff working) and then you call it twice at the most crucial juncture of the game? That's just awful coaching. If we had a mauling offensive line and it wasn't clicking all game and you want to go to it, sure but we have the opposite of that. It's like having Michael Jordan on your team and designing a play for the 8th guy off the bench for a game winner. You can blame the players for not "executing" or you can actually realize what you did was fucking moronic.
Give them the ball back with plenty of time.....

Without the NE results.
Do any of these reporters follow up and ask the question later in the week when he has had a chance to review?
