Last week was an utter failure. Backup QB, Samuel out. WAS had a rookie at ORT. We should have really murdered that offense. Double Mclaurin and force Brown and Thomas to beat us all game. Instead Heinicke just kept driving.
If we see the same thing vs ATL, if we see Ryan dink and dunk us to death. If we see soft zones, playing way off until the redzone. 8-10 minute drives keeping our offense off the field. I don't know why we would do that with our back 7 talent but that would tell us the story. Can Graham change this defense?
We should straight up destroy ATL, they are not a good team.
I'm not willing to say the Giants are a bad team yet, every season is a marathon. But 3 weeks in, we should start to see a clearer focus. Beat ATL decisively.
It feels like the Giants have already arrived.
He won't have to move, just go to three step throws (to take advantage of the soft zone) and run at the edge (which is swiss cheese soft at this point). This defense scares no one. I expect the Falcons to score early and often. The Eagles put pressure on Ryan...where are the Giants getting pressure from?
Hopefully, Jones keeps up with Matt Ryan, as the Falcons Defense is trash, but our best players keep making critical mistakes at crunch time.
I was just about to ask about that; how do you defend against someone like him? My thought was to have a guy who's good in coverage dog him throughout the game, say Carter or Cam Brown (since Sy says he's good in coverage) once he comes back from his hamstring.
