as he throws his 4th INT but probably won't get it. All the arm chair QBs and media will go back to bashing Daniel Jones for not playing well enough vs Washington....
Are there people who seriously blamed Jones for the Giants not winning against Washington ?
Mike Vick on ESPN said it was Jones' fault because he didn't put that throw to Slayton in the bread basket. I suggest Mike Vick go back and look at the All 22 and watch the DL directly in his face while make that throw...
Not only that, But Slayton slowed down 1st . No idea what Vick was watching on that play. Also, Slayton admitted he should have dove for it as well
Just bizarre to even think about criticizing Jones who gave the Giants 350 totla yards with 0 turnovers while the Defense played like shit, Barkley continues to do nothing, Coaching was terrible, and Lawrence was wrongfully called for an offside that cost them the game on the last play
Vick s statement just another example of a narrative created by the number of turnovers Jones has made
The group think crowd sees him through a negative prism to the point they would conclude such a perspective on a pass that is caught 95% of the time by competent NFO receivers
RE: How did Philly find its next cornerstone LT in the
I’m not, I mean the damn Jets beat the Rams last year at 1pm.
Nope. That game was in Los Angeles.
And last time Rams played the Giants at 1 pm, the final score was 51-17.
And the Giants didn't have the 51.
That’s because McVay had been waiting for that moment for a lifetime it seems. Sure he still has it circled, but not with the gusto of his first bite at the Apple. Regardless west coast teams are notoriously sleepy through the first half of football games though. Although I think McVays teams are the exception but I’m not sure.
1. Mahomes
2. Rodgers
3. Brady
4. Russell Wilson
5. Lamar Jackson
6. Josh Allen
7. Herbert
8. Murray
9. Stafford
10. Prescott
You have questions about Russell Wilson? Then you have no judgement. I would deal half our team for Wilson.
First as usual you go personal. No reason to be a jerk. Second, Prescott/Stafford/Murray/Herbert/Jackson are not "mostly great" in my opinion.
sorry you thought it was personal. I apologize.
How is Lamar not great? Three years in the league, wins tons of games, playoffs every year, won an MVP.
To be honest, of your list Jackson was the one I went back and forth on. But not yet in my opinion. I've seen a lot of clunkers from him. More than the other guys. Still its a small set of top QB's even with him in the list.
My overall opinion/point is that if Jones game vs Wash is his "new normal" (to use an overused term), then he would be a top 10-ish QB in the league. Thats a big if, but I just don't think the jury is out on him yet

If Daniel Jones rushes for 100 yards every week, he will easily be a top-10 QB. But he won't and he will be lucky to be top-15
Jones has loked good the first two weeks, this week one of the best games I've seem him play. I look at other QB's simply having terrible games. Jones has never looked as bad as Wilson is looking today. Burrow is looking like crap today. Lawrence has looked fine but growing pains. However Jones as looked pretty good, especially against a good defensive team in WFT. So at least no one can say he's the worst QB in the league anymore. He's far from our biggest problems.
Young QB struggle in the NFL . Patience is very much needed
Wilson is playing in his second game of his NFL career. Burrow is playing in his 12th. Both were drafted by the worst teams in the NFL (and psoters complain about Jones' offensive line). Jones just played in his 28th on a team that just spent 200+ million on players. Let's be just a little bit objective, shall we.
Patience is needed ... Oh we've been waiting patiently
Not really. I have seen more people saying they want to move on from Jones and start over then those saying the opposite.
Jones biggets issue was/is his fumbles but objectively he is getting better at that and if he fixes that issue completely he is a starting Qb in the league. How good is TBD.

Jones is in the beginning of his 3rd season. He is still a young QB in the league .
And newsflash...Jones was drafted by the absolute worst team in the NFL record wise the last 5 years. Let's be a little objective how bad this team personnel has been and continues to be
But yeah this team has sucked ass for 9 years, despite you guys not liking basic numbers that prove this.
Jones did play a good game vs Washington, that's for sure but what's he now? 8-19 as a starter? 8-20? It's not as if it's hard to score points in the NFL, with Jones, they haven't been able to do much scoring.
Then again, I'm sure if that number was 8-42 as a starter you'd still be telling us we need to be patient and how it logically takes 12 years to rebuild when at the same time, teams who were bad for a year or two make it to the playoffs and Super Bowl while we wait for the Giants to reach .500.
I really think it’s the crowning of guys. And Jones has never looked as bad as Burrow has today and his TEAM is still in it. And when he eventually wins this game the same people that shit all over Jones will praise Burrows gutsy performance.
hammered Sermon helmet to helmet. Looked bad for the kid.
Quoting his record while at the same time including the latest loss which by all objective standards was not on him, if anything he was their best player Thursday demonstrates the folly of using won loss record when evaluating a quarterback
Archie Manning is probably one of the all time losing quarterbacks, but by many standards he was pretty good
I don’t understand what the 49ers defense was doing that

Burrow generally looks better than Jones. Much better. Nobody in the NFL would give you Burrow for Jones.

They keep hitting on everything meanwhile the Giants are still "trying to figure things out" since Feb 46.
Good scouting and good development. Something we can't seem to do

Hire competent staff who does their job?

Yep And we can discuss forever that you have to make hay on the rookie contract, but it doesn’t change the truth of your post
