The ball over bunch his first two seasons, but honestly. I ve seen several terrible throws today, by several good young quarterbacks, that had Daniel thrown them, they would be held as examples of why he will never be A quality NFL quarterback.

But these QBs have sustained records of excellence, and they win games, and put up gaudy stats. Daniel Jones has had a sustained period of awful play with a couple of good games mixed in, he lost most of his games, never made the playoffs, and never put up great stats.

If Baltimore loses today they will have the same record as the Giants. I did not know that records from prior seasons help determine playoff games this year.

Of course I do, why do you feel the need to get snarky. But Are you implying that Jones hasn’t had some impressive moments his first two seasons, because I disagree

Jackson walked onto a playoff team. You can't compare that to the situation Jones started with

Circumstances are often dictate level of success.
So all things equal, you think Jones is as good as Jackson?

Sorry if you feel I was snarky.
He has had moments, but too few and the overall impression is a bad and inconsistent QB, which is how the rest of the NFL views him.
But it’s amazing how they rebuilt an entire OL in just one offseason in KC.
I think something that doesn't get mentioned here nearly enough is that good QBs help make an O-Line good. I think the Athletic once did an analysis of this. Tom Brady's O-lineman do much better on protections with him than when they move to a new team. Their isolated protection figures go way down. Part of having a good O-Line is having a great QB.

We've seen way too many by Jones. That's the difference.

Or you could just use your two eyes. The Bucs had a good OL with Jamies, he just held onto the ball FOREVER. Then they added Wirfs in a rich get richer situation. Jamies really struggles to see the field because he had talent and why Evans always put up monster seasons until Godwin became that guy. He’d lock onto one guy. Exactly why I took a flyer on Thomas for when he comes back in fantasy.
What about the play before?
Throw to Watkins was also behind him by at least a yard
Quote:
Hard to blame LJax on that. Bad luck.
What about the play before?
Missed the throw - agree.
Doesn't change the fact that Watkins fell down.
We can’t have nice things
Rodgers is in the conversation.
And people forget how great Elway was off platform.

2 good examples
But he is trying to make points happen! :)

I doubt it. he will continue to be a problem as long as he has his twitch and speed. When he loses that, then maybe...

I don’t think the finial chapter has been written on either quarterback

Jones has failed everywhere.

What has he won in the Pros?
Outside of his one MVP year, what else has he accomplished

So far, so good - for sure. They knew they needed to protect their QB savant, so they sparred no expense.
Exactly

outside of the MVP in his second year, what did he do? That's like saying out side of the nobel prize what makes someone a good writer.
We've seen way too many by Jones. That's the difference.
