that Jones and LJax are #8 makes it even harder to differentiate them as players.
We just need more RPO. Jones legs are a huge advantage for him. We don’t need to emulate the Ravens offense - LJax is a human video game. Just need to keep defenses off balance.
But seriously wouldn't you want to see them emulate the Baltimore LJax offense for Jones? It would be interesting, no?
Dumbest QB in the NFL, can’t throw. Flipping into the EZ instead of setting team up for 2 point conversion. He’ll be sleeping under a bridge in 10 years.
Guys like you and Terps have the same issue: you fail to understand (actually you do understand, you’re just playing dumb) that nobody on this message board is saying that Jones is in the same category as Jackson as a player, they aren’t even close yet.
You create this straw man argument for yourself when people criticize Jackson for his shitty playoff performances.
You must have missed who and how Jones was introduced into this game thread.

The ball over bunch his first two seasons, but honestly. I ve seen several terrible throws today, by several good young quarterbacks, that had Daniel thrown them, they would be held as examples of why he will never be A quality NFL quarterback.
Go ahead and re-read the thread from that point on. You think the implication is that Jones isn’t “even close yet.”
Why don’t you ask BBS or Joe if they feel that way.
I do feel sheepish about that post, I derailed the thread, that was not my intention.
I know Jones’ play to this point hasn’t earned the same respect as Jackson and some others. But my pt was: Quarterbacks who have achieved the stature of, “ The Guy” make similar mistakes.
It simply to imply those mistakes don’t preclude Daniel from reaching that status, if he learns to limit them.
I do believe the established narrative about him sometimes skews objectively where his mistakes are concerned, and even his good performances, like Thursday.
I guarantee Judge would have not gone for it, they are too conservative. Baltimore, yes they have Lamar but they knew they have a better chance of victory with the best running QB ever getting 3 yards than giving the ball back to Mahomes.
Every weekend I see guys I wanted the Giants to draft
making plays all over the league and many of them turn out to be stars. Most of the time the Giants draft someone that makes me not very excited and they are just average. It frustrates the hell out of me.

Has been going on for years. That's why it doesn't matter if DG is gone as long as the rest of the front office and scouts are still employed
and really get into the draft. Time and time again there are players that fill a need and are better prospects then who the Giants pick and they turn out to be stars and I just don't understand their thinking.
would have been behind 35 to 3.......0 and 2 has the potential to expand out to 0 and 6 before you know it. he has already beed as close as he will get in '21.

I agree. It's weird. The Toney pick is a good example. The Giants could have added Paye AND Oweh. Imagine that.

Jones and Golladay MUST figure out their connection. I think that's why Golladay was upset. You have to throw it to Golladay with anticipation when he is covered.
Yep, when they took Beckham it was out of the blue for me
Even when the defense has seen the QB keep the ball, there is a strong tendency to go for the RB fake.

100%. Why didn't they do the read option at least once there?

It's possible that the coaches might be the biggest problem with the NYG

Offense, specifically passing offense, rules the league.
remember the saying, "chicks dig the longball"?

Andy took it out of Mahomes hands all 4th quarter.

Haha agreed
By a rookie no less
Great point.
Going 4 th and 1, up 1 pt on your own 35.
Hate to admit it, but don’t think Giants would even consider it
I don’t like it, wish Chiefs had stopped them.

Yeah I would have kept passing, I understand the need to burn the clock and just get into FG range, but they don’t have a RB you can really rely on.

Ran it. Coaches overthink. Let your best player win the game.

I mean you can throw 3-5 yard passes. Outside a dumb decision - Mahomes was perfect all night.
especially CEH.. he's not very good.

Oh and Baltimore picked Oweh 11 picks after we picked Toney. I wasn't aware rookie first rounders were allowed to make plays in big spots.
Not all night, but someone definitely moved early on that last TD LJ scored rolling to the right.
BTW, anyone else notice some nice crunching blocks Zeitler threw tonight?
And Devonta Freeman looked a lot quicker than his Giants stint.
