Giants are 0-2. Of the 15 games remaining, how many wins?
I predict they will lose all four AFC West games, go 1-5 in the NFC East, and lose to the Rams, Saints, Bucs, Bears, and Panthers. The only other teams I foresee as a possible win is the Falcons or Dolphins but not both. Therefore, I predict a 2-15 season.
Other predictions:
Barkley will not get 1,000 yards combined in rushing and receiving yards. He is averaging 3.6 yards per carry and his receiving yards are 13 to date. The passing routes the coach puts him in are virtually useless. This OL is not capable of providing adequate run support. But, I am tired of hearing about his ACL. Either he plays with strength and determination or he should sit. It is that simple. The bigger question with Saquon is do you give him a fifth year extension or a second contract. Presently, I would not.
Giants will not utilize Kadarius Toney effectively. This will be a waste year for him.
Daniel Jones will be the team’s leading rusher.
Provided Sterling Shepard does not get hurt/ concussed, he will be the leading receiver in catches and total yards.
Kenny Golladay will have a strong second half of the season and finish a close second. Receiving yards fall off a cliff after these two receivers.
Evan Engram will have less than 50 catches and less than 600 yards this season. I do not foresee the Giants resigning him.
Azeez Ojulari will be the leader in sacks. I foresee him getting at least 10.
Leonard Williams will get less than 8 sacks this season.
Blake Martinez will lead in total tackles. However, whenever I see a safety like Logan Ryan and James Bradberry a close second and third to Martinez, I get concerned that the defensive front seven is very weak.
Giants are going to overly rely on Graham Gano to score field goals. He will be an All-Pro candidate.
Daniel Jones will have an “average” season. He will pass for over 3K yards. His percentage of completions will be around 63%. He will be sacked around 50 times. He will turnover the ball via fumbles and interceptions around 13. The Giants will be facing a number of very strong defenses this season. His performance could be significantly worse, or he could be injured and out for the season.
The question remains, is Danny Dimes the franchise quarterback? I dunno.
At the end of the season Gettleman will be gone. Abrams will be the new GM. Wash, rinse and repeat.
The Mara/Tisch legacy of lousy ownership continues. Need to hire lead management from outside the organization.
Giants pick up fifth-year option on RB Saquon Barkley - ( New Window )
It’s a good reality question for all of us, including the beat writers, media, etc. This season is about improvement. The defense has to turn things around and hopefully the offense will continue to make strides.

I'd say we still have a lot of work to do; can't have both offensive tackles getting called on false starts on consecutive plays for instance. Still haven't gotten enough pressure on the quarterback.

Mark this post. You can certainly ridicule me if I am wrong, but be prepared to remember that I am one of the only guys here predicting what is about to happen. ** This is of course barring some additional unforeseen injuries, like to Shep or Jones or Saquon or Bradberry, etc.

Honestly if the OL can hold up, I could see this. I really worry about up front, going into the bye at 4-5 and I feel great about the chances of this team making playoffs. I think Garrett is finally getting it with his new weapons and what he has with DJ. Since the biggest issue seems to be coaching I have hope it can turn around. I hope Judge watched as much football as I did yesterday and see what’s going on around the league.

Seems like a projection that is far too pessimistic.
Jones will have a completion % in the 65-67 range.
DG will retire but Abrams is not the Giants next GM.

Fate is the hunter. Regardless of call of offsides, it concerns me that the game was that close. The play calling in the last Giant possession was atrocious. Letting WFT march down the field and score a TD in 2 plays is pathetic. What is it about the end of the halves with the Giants' defense or lack thereof.
I never hang my hat on the expectation that the Giants will defeat WFT this season. It is how we are losing that disturbs me. Coaches and players are making significant mistakes. And, I fear that the variety of these 'mistakes' each week will continue unabated in the coming weeks.
This schedule does not invite confidence in a 6 or 7 win season, let alone a 4 win season.

The Giants are playing at home against the Falcons. The present betting line(s) that I have seen are, I believe, giving 1.5 to 3.0 to the Falcons. To be favored at home typically means a 3 point spread. So, it seems the gamblers are not too confident the Giants will prevail.
Look, I have been a Giant fan since the 60s. I do not like what is presently going on. This schedule appears brutal. Judge and co. need to step it up big time. Presently, I just do not see that happening. The Falcons are a big test for this team.

Your ridiculous hatred of Gettleman and apparent secret routing against this team is clouding your judgment and causing nothing but negative postings. THIS TEAM IS ON THE RISE and almost everyone on this site is missing it. We are about to go on a monster tear that will get everyone's attention.

I hope your right but I still question that this team is on the Rise. Where do you see this other than on a piece of paper. Till they show me on the field I just don’t see it. I am getting real tired of the word teach being used by JJ and his coaching staff. These are supposed to be be NFL players. You teach and they learn by repeating what they’re doing correctly.

On paper you make sense. So far, and I hope it may get better but, their 4 best defense players from last year seemed to have taken a step back. One of them seems to be on the bench for half the game. Maybe its early, so we will see. And Barkley does not in any way resemble Barkley of a few years ago. Again, maybe that will change. Just doesnt seem to be a fit for this o line. As for Golladay I hope he doesnt get frustrated with this QB. He just does not see the field very well. All great players but it really has to be a fit, and the jury is out on that.

Also subtract Zeitler, Fackrell and BJ Hill. "Add" Solder.
Regression of a bunch of others (like Bradberry) and worse coaching is why we're 0-2.

Exactly..... another dumb-ass commentary. Another one of about 500 around here...
