I know you tapped out of daily threads back in May/June and I can’t blame you. But I was hoping you may be doing some type of aggregate review of the noteworthy performances this season since most of the affiliates are wrapping this week and the major league squad isn’t worth discussing.
Fingers crossed!
On another note, i wouldn’t say this is any sort of legit asshat info but I’ve heard through someone connected with Cohen’s hedge fund that he’s hearing that Beane is the favorite.

Francisco Álvarez’s 2021 season is complete.
He hit 24 home runs, posted a .941 OPS, and hit 11 balls over 108 mph.
He doesn’t turn 20 until November. #Mets

Ughhhh… I had completely forgotten about Cano
Also regarding the 2021 Mets you left off the Rocker debacle.
Baty and Mauricio had very strong seasons and are firmly on the blue chip/red chip border. Mauricio is probably dethroned as the top prospect but mostly because of Alvarez. Baty firmly put himself in the top 50. Of recent prospects Mauricio is probably most comparable to Rosario because he's toolsy but raw and Baty most similar to Conforto because he's just a pure hitter likely to end up in a corner.
Vientos had a monster season and capped it off with a good couple games in AAA. Second only to Alonso in the last 30+ years in terms of exciting power bats. If he can stick at 3b great but the bat could possibly play in LF or 1b or DH.
Ginn is their best healthy P prospect by default but he had a good year. Don't think his upside is much higher than Peterson though.
Carlos Cortes is a sleeper to keep an eye on who cooled off after a really hot start in AA but still had a decent year. He could be a poor mans Daniel Murphy (more power but less contact).
Khalil Lee had a good year in AAA and he's athletic but he looked raw when he got his time in the big leagues. Not sure he's more than a 4th OF type.
Guys to watch next year are Alex Ramirez and Matt Allan. Ramirez is the latest in their big $ IFA's following in the footsteps of Rosario/Gimenez/Mauricio/Alvarez. Allan was easily the best P in the system pre-TJS so hopefully he comes back strong (and unrushed).
There aren't many teams in baseball who can match their top 5 or 6 but after all the trades the last 3 years there aren't many teams with a thinner overall group of rated prospects.
Next year's draft could be a bonanza though. Not only will they likely have 2 top 15 picks with tons of money to play with but they could also get a comp pick if Conforto or Thor walks. I don't recall if Stroman is also QO eligible too.
Stroman was playing on a qualifying offer this year. Pretty positive you can't do them two years in a row, so he is not eligible.
Vientos has just been unreal. 23 HRs in 75 games. Those top 4 hitters are pretty damn good prospects.
A player can only receive a QO one time, after that they are forever ineligible.
Heck, he was below Mendoza's sister's line.

At best it's a nitpick but see the article below as 1 example, his quotes were great where he acknowledged that he may have taken it a little far but I recall seeing a few other chirpy things like that in-game find there way into video this summer. Also some were speculating that he was suspended this week after he took exception to getting hit with a pitch in a game where he hit his 24th homer (so he thought it was intentional).
Like I said most of it is nitpicky but bad habits can snowball (and we've seen more than our share of that this year at the MLB level).
There's always a fine line between wanting your superstar talents to have a certain amount of cockiness but also not do so at the expense of the team or in a way that rubs others on the team the wrong way.
Hopefully it's solvable by David Wright throwing his lunch in the trash in PSL in future spring trainings.
Skilled Mets prospect Francisco Alvarez not pleased with viral bat-flip video - ( New Window )

Good stuff, thanks.
Allan is a very nice prospect but thought I had read he was expected to be out for most of 2022 as well because of the surgery.
yea unfortunately with the state of SP on the farm, pretty much all he needs to do to reclaim his spot as the top pitcher in the system is make it to the mound with a pulse.
Matt Allan isn't expected to begin throwing in games until July/August 2022.
