I've seen this brought up a lot recently with the context being Golladay yelling at Jones. In the video I thought it was clear he was yelling at Garrett which Golladay has himself confirmed

Kenny Golladay said he “let the emotions get the best of him” in regards to his anger that was caught on camera vs. Washington. Admitted he was talking to Jason Garrett. They’re good now. Talked after the game.
What is also obvious is that Jones threw the ball poorly to Golladay. Put two and two together.

Jones and Garrett were sitting right next to each other.
2nd half maybe late 3rd earlier 4th?
It was towards the end of the game. After the Giants kicked the FG. He clearly wanted the ball on that last possession which is what you want to see.

Play 1: Gets the ball on a curl
Play 2: Completion to Rudolph, is covered until CB realizes the ball is thrown
Play 3: All curls, pre snap read pick a side. No progression on that playcall
Play 4: He's open on the dig

Really, how about Golladay couldn't catch a cold Thursday night? Ohh but that goes against your constant narrative of Jones sucking.

Man, you really have to get ahold of your DJ hate. It's to the point of absurdity

Ok, threw the ball poorly to Golladay. Yeah, he over threw him early, but then Golladay dropped 2 or 3...
i'm not trolling. this is a real deficit in Jones' game. and you want to ignore it because you can't face hard truths.

I don't hate Jones. I think he holds the ball too long and he misses out on makeable plays as a result.
Here is a link to Christopher Harris who watches EVERY PLAY OF EVERY NFL GAME. He breaks down the problem Jones has as it relates to Golladay and why holding the ball an extra split second is such a problem. again this is a guy who watches every throw by every NFL QB in the league. Jones is hesitating on timing passes.
He starts talking about Jones at 2:08. Golladay @ 2:30 and it goes to around 7:50.

i'm not invested in a narrative. lol. i am invested in the NY Giants having great QB play. I'm trying to point out that our QB hasn't figured out how to play with our big time free agent acquisition.
But I liked the raw emotion. Didn't know KG had that in him.

I’ve read you say he yelled at Jones multiple threads. You are invested in that narrative and will take it to the grave it seems. What a waste of time and effort.

How are you invested? Your posting has 0 influence so what are you doing behind the scenes to move that needle?

How about you listen to the link above at the times I have indicated. There's another smart person who watches all the tape who thinks Jones doesn't throw on time
He wants the ball. That is good.

yes.. it can get better for sure. I thought they worked together in the off-season, so it is surprising the connection isn't a little better. But this also goes to a flaw in Jones as a passer (at least so far in his career - he holds the ball and often can't throw with anticipation).
i think getting on schedule with Golladay is one of the biggest things to watch for as it dictates the success of a massive FA signing.

He is in the same spot for all 4 plays. Maybe that was his concern. maybe move him around a bit or change formations.

It looks to me that Daniel Jones is late on all of those throws.

Kind of hard to do when Golloday missed all of training camp.
Quote:
with Golladay, he missed the entire camp. Until Jones gets the timing with him down, he will not be as accurate to him. Nor will he trust him fully. KG, also, dropped a couple balls the other night.

So calm down. Stop ranting and let it play out. Pitch and catch in NC is not at game speed, it is not when KG is covered or reading the DBs. It is not the NFL. It seems to me Jones finds Shepard, Slayton and now Rudolph. It may take 4 games before Jones gets comfortable with KG. And maybe sooner if Jones gets more than two seconds to throw.
He absolutely is. Prior handle was FranchiseQB. He wore out his welcome with that one so slyly changed his handle. Now it’s the same old shit. Pathetic loser.

Paranoid? Wtf? That makes zero sense, but nothing that comes from you does. You’re a troll and you’ve been exposed. And you know it. It’s not that difficult. I’m more curious as to what you’ll pick for your next handle. Troll.

Do you think Jones has mastered throwing on schedule with good timing and anticipation? I don't believe so. I think it is a worthwhile conversation to have and I would respect your opinion on the matter.
Do I think Jones is the long term answer? No, I don’t. But unlike many arrogant BBIers, I can admit I’ve been wrong before. We’ve all seen some of the best QBs in the league struggle mightily when they don’t have ideal situations. I could give you examples but hopefully you already seen them for yourself in recent times.
I also considered not even responding to you because if you can’t even admit you were wrong about Golladay supposedly ripping Jones when he came out and said it himself he was going after Garrett, then it’s basically a waste of time. Your mind is made up, which is supported by your 1000 posts. But anyway, there it is.

That's a fair assessment that you give. I am not at all certain that Jones will be a failure. But I think you can separate a lot of a QBs traits regardless of his surrounding players, though I do agree he has been dealt a pretty bad hand.
But I would add that I don't think WRs were all that awful last season. But the O-line, of course it was terrible.
I have doubts he can ever be elite. But perhaps he can be a middle of the road starting QB - maybe a Cousins or Goff type. That would make him a pretty good player, but is it enough to win a title - unlikely. But let's see. He has become one of the best running QBs in the league so maybe that becomes something big and he doesn't need to be a great thrower of the ball.
I admit Golladay contradicted my post. I'll shut my trap about it. I don't think he would ever come forward and say he criticized Jones if he actually did, but I admit it looks doubtful. Hope that patches it up with you. Enjoy MNF!
They're beating the Falcons. No doubt.
It will only go nuclear on BBI. Like a bunch of old women at the hair salon....the rest of us will be disappointed, continue to grouse a bit but will be even more agitated at each poster with their own thread to spout their own view on why Judge wears pink socks on Sundays..
Quote:
No worries man. We are all agitated at this point. Hopefully this gets turned around starting this week. Because things are about to go nuclear within the team and this fan base if they lose to the Falcons…

It's not a made up BS stat. Most big WRs are not guys who are going to just bust coverages.
Golladay doesn't create lot of separation. He is still open because he's 6'4 with long arms and can outmuscle defenders. It's on the QB to get the chemistry to a point where he trusts he can throw at Golladay.

But I think I read somewhere that KG is pretty close to the bottom of the NFL in we separation. Tried looking it up and couldn't find it.

exactly right. But the QB still has to get the ball to the correct side/shoulder and a lot of it depends on timing. There's an ideal point to get the point there, when Golladay is just out of his break/cut. It won't be a lot of space but enough for Golladay to rack up receptions. If you wait too long he's getting mugged.
