Goff took a lot of crap when he was with LA yet consistently won. Stafford mean while maybe one of the few QBs that has been the devoid of blame when it came to always losing. Right now Goff does not have a ton a weapons and is putting together his second solid game.

Goff was terrible last week. They pretty much strang together their offense when the 49ers had just playing prevent the rest of the way up a billion scores. That game was really never in the balance, even with an onsides recovery.

It’s a trade that likely works out well for both teams. Goff couldn’t run Mcvays offense, Stafford can. Stafford losing a lot was usually due to his horrid supporting cast, almost always that included the defense. I just don’t know what more anyone could have done there.

Stafford and McVay are an exciting combo and one of the most intriguing storylines of this season.

Exactly. Are there really many games that the Lions lost and anyone thought “well damn, the Lions would have won this if not for Matt Stafford”?

Stafford is immensely more talented than Goff.
He is. But I think sometimes we dismiss Goff because he does have limitations, mainly arm talent, but he took a team to the Super Bowl, he's not chopped liver either. He's kind of the very definition of *game manager*. But Stafford is way more exciting. Dude throws rockets.
Even better tonight until the Favre interview. They gotta get the Oscars band to start the music. This is brutal. Sounds like some drunk guy stummbled in from a Mississippi barbeque.
Is just letting the guest talk. He can’t help himself from interrupting them right when they’re in the middle of a point. And oftentimes one of the Mannings will ask a question, the guest says half a sentence and Peyton immediately jumps in and then takes the conversation get another direction (even if he’s the one who just asked the question). He’s gotta realize we can hear him talk all night, Favre is only there for so long and if he’s making a point let him go.
I agree Favre was fairly awkward and borderline incoherent lol, but I’m just using this as an example. Peyton seems to do it with every guest including the ones who are actually saying interesting things.

Exactly. Peyton is a lot of passion about the game and loves to talk about it.
Eli has been the surprise in this experiment. You can really appreciate his football intellect.
Goff isn't a smart QB and one can argue has a poor feel for the game. This is the same boat that a guy like Zach Wilson can quickly find himself in where the talent can't overcome having "it".
Stafford never struck me as a guy who didn't have "it". Watching him I always thought he did and the years their defense wasn't atrocious they usually made the playoffs.
Yep, fantastic so far. Aside from Gronk’s connection being poor

It seems all the best games are Sunday night. Ravens-Chiefs.
