I get holding a roster spot for a long snapper, but for the "personal punt protector"
Very bizarre.

When's the last time you coached or managed a football team?

I think it's about the culture honestly, Logan Ryan, Solder, Ebner, Dion Lewis last year. I really think Judge has a long term plan and vets who can lead the way are vital to establishing HOW he wants things done. While some will grouse, you need some of "his" guys sprinkled around making sure the message is getting across. It's probably short term not ideal but as guys buy in and get experience with the program, the culture will be set.
I don't expect instant results, and true enough, but if the Giants turn in another stinker season I'm not sure he's going to be around long enough to build a culture. No more 5 year rebuilding programs. Seems as if the Giants have had "the youngest roster" and been in a "rebuilding program" for most of last 20 years. They need production.

Joey, while you may he right, I don't buy it. We already have vets, leaders, Judge's guys at the position group he is a part of. This is deeper than just a culture move. I mean, it was very nice the Giants were so open with him chasing his dream but he wasn't even around all offseason.

Actually, I think he may get five years. Now, I don’t mean 5 years of 4,5,6 wins but he gets three minimum and probably four. If the team shows reasonable progress they’ll stick with him. It’s the two coaches in four years that can’t be repeated.
He's been practicing for a a few weeks now.

Not really sure what this has to do with anything.
He has an unchallenged roster spot for reasons unknown
