So I know sometimes we bicker but I've been posting on BBI since I was 12 and you assholes (and I count myself to be one of the many assholes here) are one of my strange chosen families. This is a major accomplishment for me and a culmination of many years of work. We haven't even publicly released our app yet so to be scouted for this simply based on the message we are putting out was an even greater honor.
This actually was published in the AI section of Forbes, so perhaps my annoyance with our GM and his fake typing could be put in some even better context now lol.

The biggest issue with retail investors is that those controlling the money know exactly how to use algorithms and make markets move to scare off retail investors. The script is certainly flipping there though now that people understand their tricks a bit better. I don't know how you take the emotional aspect out of retail trading. Is that what you are trying to accomplish? Sure seems like it.
My biggest issue with price targets is if a stock is trading at $50 and has an $80 price target a lot of people don't know the volatility and risk inherent in a stock that can move that much. The first goal is to visualize that relationship better by giving both a gain and loss probability forecast.
These are the 10 signals we think you need to get a picture for what really moves a stock. Where we differentiate is that we are actually an investment education app, we are trying to teach people about the real drivers of the market and how to compare stocks and most importantly doing it in an unbiased way. There is no trading on our platform or dark monetization schemes our research can be trusted as purely in the interests of teaching people as much about the market as possible. We actually want to earn people's trust, not their money. We do have some great ways to monetarize later on but we will actually let our users have agency in how we do that instead of doing it in secret.
The rest of our edge is built in conjunction with partnering with our users. We will actually ask them questions about how they expect to earn, how much debt they will pay down, what companies they expect to spend on etc.
I did AI as a service before this and got all too familiar with the way funds use alternative data like real time credit card swipes, retail camera data, web traffic, etc. But that's all point of sale. By partnering with users we can actually gather what is in their heads, their intentions and that is much harder to get people to hand over.
At about 10K per day question responses we will start to be able to see value in the data. At 100K we can expect some statistically significant results. At 1M we could our predictions could start being of comparable value to what high net worth individuals get.
I just got fucked in the SPRT/GREE fiasco. Have the lawfirm that did the Enron scandal and they are pretty insistent we don't shop this bad boy around so it seems like we have a case, but the whole situation has me soured on the bullshit that happens in the markets.

Yeah you are on the right track here. Retail is strength in numbers but they need to move on from this short squeeze stuff and become smarter investors. This platform gives them a way to invest more confidently in the face of the manipulation and psychological warfare of hedge funds (many employ psychologists to make the bots trade in patterns manipulate retail investor trading behavior)
Not to mention the total BS payment for order flow stuff. It has gotten out of hand but people have shown they are willing to band together and fight back. Professional traders now invest with AI at their backs and retail investors should have the same benefit of seeing that intelligence. People are going to invest regardless of how stacked the deck is against them, we just want to help them do that armed with the best possible information.

as a day trader. Very, very shady things happen in the markets. I'm not sure there is ANY information that will level the playing field.

Too bad you weren't in my Facebook group, I'm linking below. I actually advise people on trades there. You could actually see right there in the docs that it was going to be a massive dilutive event when SPRT merged. They basically did 90% dilution so the short interest in the company and other peripherals didn't really matter...

That makes two of us. Must be a lawyer thing.
And thanks for the congrats everyone. gidie especially, I know we've had our spats, so I appreciate the kudos. It's always nice to see that you can disagree strongly but still celebrate accomplishments.
We are actually working on being a little more clear about what we do and how we do it. We've staffed up 2 product teams (one more technical and one more qualitative) to help us do this.
But any feedback on perhaps doesn't make sense about what was shared here would be great!
If my Fat friend from Charlotte was around, I'm sure he'd say the same... ;)

I'd be lying if I said I fully understand the basis of your company's analysis here -- but I give you kudos for trying and being recognized like this

Lol I didn’t actually know that I thought that street might have been one way but good to know now!
If my Fat friend from Charlotte was around, I'm sure he'd say the same... ;)
I’m sure he’s on his way to congratulate me right now!
Best wishes in the months ahead when the chaos of leads comes your way!
It’s a risk to bootstrap but one of my main interests in doing it that way was being able to take our time and listen to what our potential users wanted and learn more about our market. But next week we will release the public beta to our first group of users and I expect that to amplify the attention even more! It’s certainly very exciting and appreciate the kind words from you and everyone on this thread.
Seriously congratulations ...
I missed this one yesterday! Was flying back to NY after living on the west coast for a bit. Definitely thanks for signing up! Excited to see how much we can teach you
I don't know you, and I may or may not be the target audience, but this lone data point at a keyboard thinks your marketing people – really, whoever writes copy – need to embrace brevity and clarity.

Well if it’s the article we didn’t get a whole lot of say in that. We are definitely working on some new things for our website though. It’s definitely a challenge to explain what we are doing and how we do it in a concise way. I’d agree that the article is long though haha

Well at least now you no longer have to worry about threatening to sue him for possibly revealing your real identity since you have done so yourself by posting this. Haha
Congrats on the article, I hope it gets you all the attention you desire and that your new venture is successful.
I thought you would laugh it off as funny as well after seeing the irony but clearly I touched on a raw nerve, sorry to have upset you.
As far as everything else you bring up I kind of have always tried to not get into too much about someone who is not active or in the thread to defend himself so I’m not going down that rabbit hole.
Again congratulations on the article.
I honestly wouldn’t have cared about someone even revealing my identity if they didn’t also show themselves to have such a willingness to attack me and really try to drag me personally to make my observations on the Giants seem off base. I’m not a very private person, I have big goals and those take precedence over my privacy. But given those goals, I take those kind of serious shots against me quite seriously. It wasn’t the identity thing, it was all of the assaults on my character and for better or worse I don’t have much of a sense of humor about that
As far as analysts I don’t know much at all, and I especially don’t know enough to comment on the merits of either of your point of views about it. I will only say that I seriously doubt that he is David Gettleman. That I’m pretty comfortable concluding.
I wish you well with your venture.
I have already apologized for apparently hitting a raw nerve with you and ended each post in a conciliatory manner, just let it go.
I’m not defending anyone nor attacking you. Unless you think my concluding that he isn’t Gettleman as defending him. But really, Gettleman posting here for probably twenty years himself, even while he was a GM elsewhere, just in case he is ever hired by the Giants as GM and can then defend himself? I mean come on. Even you should be able to see the humor in even remotely believing that possible.
And I’ll add one more thought from things I have learned in twenty five years of posting here. My advise to anyone is don’t take yourself too seriously and learn to laugh at yourself at times. It will make the experience far more pleasurable, and you will likely find yourself in less fights with people. It’s just a message board for fans of a team playing a game. Keep things in perspective.
Have a good day.
