The NFL is planning to alter its playoff schedule, with a Monday night game added to the mix. Wild card weekend is likely to have two Saturday games, three Sunday games and a Monday night game, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Last year the NFL expanded the playoffs to seven teams in each conference, which resulted in the number of wild card games increasing from four to six. At the time, that meant three Saturday games and three Sunday games. This season, the schedule is shifting. |
Yup, Goodell can care less about the quality of play. It’s all about the $$. The players have been complaining for years now about Thursday night football and how they aren’t healthy enough to play on the short week. Case in point, McCaffrey goes down this evening for what appears to be several weeks.
The owners make these decisions and task Goodell to implement them.
Oh wait, the Giants are the worst team in the NFL

100% right on the money. He is essentially their puppet.
The greed has gotten old for me.
I still can't get behind Thursday night games.
That already happens. Every season. Wild card teams will play the wild card round on a Sunday and then play the next round that following Saturday. The Ravens did it last season. So why would a Monday then Sunday be any different?
As a FAN, I’m not sure why so many are against an extra day of football. I realize you may miss your Everyone Loves Raymond reruns but can’t you record those?

I really hate Thursday night games. Wish they would scrao them. Just stick to the traditonal Thanksgiving Day games in Detroit and Dallas

It seems like all they do is try to squeeze the NFL dish rag of every last penny it is capable of and they think that we don't know what is really going on.

So true ... even on Sundays - I might put a game on in the background but, I don't care what is going on if the Giants' game is going to be played on Monday night.
This season for the first time in a long time - I am paying attention to another team _ The Chicago Bears.
I want them to finish 0-16 , they already ended that fantasy. But, I am interested in how they finish every week this season.
