Jones will sign his name on the locker room stall after the resounding victory which was never even close (and he puts Jerry Jones cell number beneath it).
Barkley rushes for 200+ yards and 3 TDs; he’s seen laughing on Jerry’s Jumbotron as he prances in for the 3 TD.
JBIV catches more Dak passes than Cooper. After the game Bradbury gives a game ball to Trevon Diggs’ son in the stands saying how much he enjoyed watching him on Hard Knocks.
Giants fall behind like they did in NO, but rally to tie the game late, only this time the defense cannot stop Dallas from driving down the field for a game winning FG in the final seconds
The last time they scored that much in one game was ... Oct. 11, 2020 against the Dallas Cowboys (and six of their thirty-four points came on a pick six by the D).
I think we give them a serious run for their money.
NY 31
Dallas

I just don't see our defense stopping their offense
I think we might score some points, but I am going in the Dallas 38 Giants 21 Range.
Our defense has been a gigantic disappointment and until it is not, I am not predicting it to stop one of the most lethal offenses in the NFL. Did anyone see the tackling last week?
with the exception of the Giants offense playing a lot better than I expected against the Saints.
The problem this week is that we haven’t seen anything from the Giants defense that could lead us to believe that they can hold the Cowgirls under fourty points, let alone thirty. I haven’t seen any reason to believe they can even force 2 or 3 turnovers.
I’m willing to set aside my worries about the Giants offense never looking good two weeks in a row under Jason Garrett because last week was different. He called the game differently. Jones looked different and his targets were different. I hope the offense can carry over what they did against a better defense than Dallas has. I think/hope they keep the game close for a while.
against the Cowboys-O. The Cowboys have a great OL that gives teams with great pass rushers fits, and the Giants don't have a great pass rush. This puts a lot of pressure on the DBs to hold their coverage longer, but also makes it riskier for the DBs to play tight coverage to prevent the short passing game.
Giants score a late TD to make it look better than it is.
Giants can't stop the Cowboys offense, they play the bend don't break defense and get picked apart Garrett goes back into his hole with conservative play calling.
I have zero confidence in this game.
Dallas is just a bad matchup
Hate to be the naysayers, but this going to be rough.
final score was 34-37 but the NYG had 2 touchdowns taken off the board. 1 on a fake FG where they got called for illegal formation and I believe the other was on a TD pass that was called back on a weak pick play. And the Cowboys got a Lawrence scoop and score.
the Cowboys won on that final drive where Dalton completed 2 long jump balls to Gallup who made great catches on both. And then they won on the FG.
Dak played a lot of that game and then Dalton came in and played well too, including that game winning drive, so I don't think I'd dock the giants any credit for playing against a weak Dallas team. The NYG didn't have Shepard or Barkley.
I think the NYG get on the right side of the score this year and win something like 34-24.
So possible, but unlikely. It's also possible things could steamroll away from us. I'm not going to go crazy if we don't get the outcome we are hoping for. These teams are in different stages in lifecycle.
Lot of people here thinking the Pokes are gonna roll on O and who’s to blame them? Dallas has an impressive set of weapons on offense and our record stinks.
But I think the Big Cat and Sexy Dexy are gonna build a run stopping wall down there in Big D. I know our Dawg Oju is fixin’ to get some Dak sacks. Our third level is good enough to compete with the Dallas receivers. Definitely worried about our linebackers at the second level and especially when guarding TEs. But this D has been playing good complimentary football and there’s talent and depth and we have a good D-co.
I also think the offense is gonna control this game with a breakout game by Barkley. I wanna see an angry Saquon run the pigskin right down the throats of a soft Dallas defense! Would love to see Big Blue manhandle this Dallas team and really turn around the season.
Giants will likely try to come in and slow the game down to a halt by playing conservative, long lasting drives.
On defense, the Giants will shadow Cooper with Bradberry and Lamb with Jackson. Williams, Lawrence, and Ragland should help limit the run game. This will work for a few drives. I think the Giants could go up 3-0 or 6-0. However, Dallas will start getting the ball to players like Shultz and Cedrick Wilson as well as passes to Zeke and Pollard. This will start putting pressure on our LBs and safeties to worry about coverage. That'll open up the run game for Dallas.
The Giants will go down 2 scores and change their game plan, at some point, but it'll put a lot of pressure on the offense. If there's even one turnover from Jones, it's game over.
And I expect them to get monstered.
Thomas won't be 100% which will be felt along the entire front putting Jones under pressure all day. Hopefully we can limit it to 1 turnover, but I'm expecting more.
I think we put up around 20 points, and I don't see us keeping the cows under 27.
I think we have a good shot this weekend if we match their intensity
The teams are wayyyyyyy closer talentwise than people assume.
It gets tiring every year to hear how "talented" Dallas is......an they havent sniffed the SB since the mid 90s
It will come down to who wants it more,we are the dangerous underdog.
They have the better RBs..... we have the superior passing game
The D is equal but the D co-ordinators hold the key.
They always have the Refs
We are due to blow someone out. Giants 31- Dallas 17 ......this will be high drama and fun to watch.
Cowboys #2 in the NFL running the ball.
Giants suck at stopping the run.
I see Cowboys controlling the ball and the clock, giving the Giants offense very few possessions to work with.
Dallas 31 - Giants 17
I see Elliot is on the injured list. If he cannot go or plays injured the Dallas RB advantage may vaporize... I do not argue with the fact the guy is a terrific back when healthy.
Everybody and his brother had The Saints humbling us....duhhhhh. How did that turn out?
We now have possibly the most dynamic trio of WRs the Giants have ever had and likely the league's best (small sample size)
It came out of necessity and nowhere but my eyes did not deceive me.
Galloway is a BEAST.....1st official trucking since Shockey did it to Washington Football Team
Ross is lightning fast and in football speed kills look at KC
Toney should have 2 broken ankles the way he cuts but seems ready to go. We have never had anything like Toney at WR
He moves like he is in a video game
Admitedly we need to see a TE emerge. My bet is on Smith

Sounds like you're saying that the Giants performance against the Saints will be repeated in Dallas. Sure hope you are right. And sure hope the majority of these predictions are wrong, including my own, which is Dallas 31 - Giants 17.
No I'm not saying the New Orleans experience wil repeat
I dont think the Cowboys hang close or pull away as the Saints did.
I'm looking for the Giants with their backs to the division wall and with renewed confidence and the weapons, to dominate.
Its really about who comes in with the right level of intensity
my biggest concern is the co-ordinators
Graham has played it very cautious to date. I expect him to play zone a lot and bring 3 often....would love to see more man and a corner blitz or two. Bring the house? How about it Patrick?
Garrett has way to much admiration and respect for the cowboys and has only beaten them once...maybe when we play the Cowboys Joe Judge should call the plays. Having said that Garrett is on a short leash. Garrett has to stop calling Barkleys number one every 1st down. Barkley is a terrible 1st down runner up the gut. He only breaks tackles it seems in the secondary and he does not pick a quick hole and accelerate- he dances
We need to come out passing on 1st down. Garrett has been way to predictable on 1st down.
If he lays an egg his job is in jeopordy
In the end the trenches are where games are really won and lost. We need to win those battles.
Last week the D rose up when they had to make a play but generally were too cautious....there was zero pressure on Winston
The Oline pass protection on the other hand was terrific
Im seeing a Giants statement game....if not then a close victory

I'm a Baby Boomer and have watched a lotta football over the course of nearly 60 years. That doesn't give me any special insights or knowledge. But just based on the experience of plain ol' watching the game, the idea that the Giants could "dominate" the Cowboys is an outcome I could never predict nor ever see unfolding.
It has to be playing on his mind we nearly took his foot off
exactly a year ago to the day
I doubt he tries to run on us and if we somehow can put some hits on him in the pocket he may crumble and start throwing INTs
My biggest concern is Elliott
stop him early and often and Dallas will struggle
Graham was a veritable D genius last year....he is due to call a great game and counter their O plans
Cooper has been injured, Lamb is admittedly a threat
the key is Elliott, he must be contained
I hope he utilizes Coughlin more
Cant wait for 4 PM on Sunday. We have a chance to get back in the conversation and the race to the Trophy
There are no super teams as yet this year, everyone has been brought to earth except AZ and they are due to hit a bump in the road
Im not impressed by Tampa, KC has struggled, Pittsburg is floundering
Right now I'd have to say Washington and Dallas have the momentum but both must meet us again
Buffalo looks good....would love to see Giants Buffalo II in this years SB....this time wide left LOL
I hope Gettelman is on the phone trying to bring in an edge rusher before the trade deadline or pluck someone from a practice squad or free agency. We are weak at Edge and our LBs are pedestrian- every team has some weakness

The Giants front 7 have to pick up the pace.
so you think there's a chance we make the Super Bowl?
in my opinion the Saints at home were a much tougher assignment than Dallas
if we pick up where we left off we should fair very well
enough said, play the game
according to Aikman we should get creamed
we are not in their league he said
I hope he is calling this game. kharma is a...........
Dallas is a much tougher assignment than New Orleans. That's obvious. New Orleans doesn't have a good QB, and Dak is near elite.
Then we are in deep trouble
We barely beat the Saints
What on earth are the Giants going to do?
Troy Aikman says we haven't a prayer
Heavens to Mergatroid!!!!
Actually, watching Troy's face and his little partner Joe Buck's face was a highlight of the last time we beat
New England in 2012 as the clock ticked down in the SB
Hopefully, we see that duo on Sunday, and the inevitable cutaway to Jerry Jones bemused face in his booth getting up to leave stunned and stone-faced
Taking it one game at a time, of course we have a chance
On the other hand we have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year.....but those teams have to beat us. You cannot mail it in. Lets hope those other teams are in fear of the Giants as the season plays out

The transitive property doesn't extend to football matchups. Just because Dallas is better than New Orleans (and they are much better) doesn't mean we won't play better than them on that day. Any given Sunday. And there are a lot of random variables.
we have heard how much better the Cowboys are than anyone
Please! They inevitably fall on their faces.
They got off to a good start and hopefully (likey) they hit a wall today. Honestly, which team has the the bigger upside Giants or Dallas?
They have 2 power wins- Chargers and Carolina
The Saints had 2 power wins over Packers and Patriots
We beat the Saints at home
An honest appraisal of the Cowboys 2 victories over Carolina and Chargers was they won both with 200 yd running stats
Dak Prescott was a low yardage game manager in both contests
He better bring more heat against the Giants. He better be prepared to match Jones Arm and feet. I dont think he will
Im not some guru, anyone can see the Cowboys two big wins were on the ground. I assume Patrick Graham has noted what I just pointed out
Stop Dallas running game, force Dak to open up the offense and hopefully get some turnovers. If we do those 3 things we can put a good ol texas whomping on Jerry's crew
IMHO Jones is the better QB and we have the superior passing game
They have a nice stadium....that's about where it ends

Dak Prescott has already thrown for over a 1,000 yards in four games and is completing 75% of his passes. Oh, and he's thrown for 10 TDs and only 2 INTs this season. Dak Prescott is an elite NFL QB. Full stop.
Stop Dak is not elite. He plays on an elite offense. He is a very
good QB though. My Cowboys buddies don’t even call him elite.
Well, if Dak Prescott ain’t elite, then he’s at least elite against the Giants.
Since 2017, he’s a perfect 7-0 against us. In these seven games Dallas has out-scored the Giants by an average margin of 12 points (30.6-18.6)
Against the Giants, Dak Prescott has attempted 226 passes, completing 148 -- good for 1,975 yards with a 65.5% completion rate. He has thrown for 16 TD passes and been intercepted only twice.
You can't entirely separate the passing success of Dak Prescott with the running success of Ezekiel Elliott. But even if the Giants manage to slow E.E. down, Dak Prescott can still pierce the heart of this Giants secondary so long as he gets protection, which is not that hard to imagine given the Giants non-existent pass rush.

Well that’s the beef my Cowboys buddy has with Dak, against shit competition he dominates, but against the better Ds of the league he doesn’t really have the consistent accuracy to get it done. The way the team is constructed he needs to take the offense to another level. His nickname for Dak is dirtball Dak as he has a real bad tendency to short balls.
LFG Big Blue!
Really curious how we attack this Dallas offense. Lots of two high this year and that just isn’t going to cut it verse them.
Giants suck at stopping the run.
I see Cowboys controlling the ball and the clock, giving the Giants offense very few possessions to work with.
Dallas 31 - Giants 17
This week my prediction is GMEN in a nail biter and Barkley goes off!
Let's go!
I think we give them a serious run for their money.
NY 31
Dallas

Our defense has been a gigantic disappointment and until it is not, I am not predicting it to stop one of the most lethal offenses in the NFL. Did anyone see the tackling last week?

The Giants front 7 have to pick up the pace.
so you think there's a chance we make the Super Bowl?

on the surface it seems improbable
in my opinion the Saints at home were a much tougher assignment than Dallas
if we pick up where we left off we should fair very well
enough said, play the game
according to Aikman we should get creamed
we are not in their league he said
I hope he is calling this game. kharma is a...........
Who thought we would win it in 2008, or 2012??
Or the Bucs would win it last year?
Taking it one game at a time, of course we have a chance
On the other hand we have the toughest schedule in the NFL this year.....but those teams have to beat us. You cannot mail it in. Lets hope those other teams are in fear of the Giants as the season plays out

The transitive property doesn't extend to football matchups. Just because Dallas is better than New Orleans (and they are much better) doesn't mean we won't play better than them on that day. Any given Sunday. And there are a lot of random variables.

Full stop.
But even if the Giants manage to slow E.E. down, Dak Prescott can still pierce the heart of this Giants secondary so long as he gets protection, which is not that hard to imagine given the Giants non-existent pass rush.

good QB though. My Cowboys buddies don’t even call him elite.
