If Thomas can't play or plays but is compromised it's going to be a tough day for the offense.
That said it is still the D that worries me more. They just don't seem to have "it". Whether it's scheme (I think it is) or whatever else, 4 games in and they inspire ZERO confidence thus far.
Make no mistake a big win against Dallas would be immense for this franchise. If we look a lot like we did last week and win, then, last week becomes less of an outlier.

If they win there will still be more to prove and it will not be the goalposts moving.
We are going to need to see the entire season from this team and look at the entire body of work when we are done. The context will matter.
Only then will we have an idea of where we are at with the entire roster.
but they were a few plays away from losing that game. It is hard to know how to feel about this team so far. Are they a few plays away from being 3-1 or are they lucky to not be 0-4? Who cares. Let's beat Dallas. Go Big Blue.

The one thing I’d maybe add is that this can be a Daniel Jones statement game. He’s playing like a top QB at times but what really separates the best from the rest is thh gg st they put the team on their back and carry them to wins on occasion.
He did that last week and if he does it again this week it’ll be one we remember for a long time.
IF the OL wasn't such a mess, the LB/Edge group would be there to take up all the heat from the fans for how poorly they are playing. My mindset for next years draft (yes, I known it's too early to think about) is for two OL and two LB/Edge from the two 1st, 2nd, and two 3rd rounders.
And still lose. Losing to Atl snd Wash in games we outplayed them is the story of our record. I want a win bad, but the reality is playing competitive is a good sign even if we lose. That’s just the reality of where we are. Dallas is a top team and we remain a year away. The reason is, we over estimated how good our defense is. They overachieved a year ago, and four games in, I think that’s pretty clear. Expectations of playoffs or double digit wins was not realistic, given the talent on defense.

chance. I think Graham will continue the bend, don’t break scheme and make Dallas take long drives to score. Problem with that scenario is it leaves our offense virtually no time to do anything and the margin for error is very slim. We’d have to take advantage of very Redzone opportunity and score TDs not FGs, something that’s been lacking all season! If I have to make a guess, I’d say we keep it close, but lose again in the 4th quarter as the D can’t stop a final Dallas drive! 1-4 here we come and then we hit a guantlet of pretty damn good teams. Saints game stopped the bleeding, but can they build off of that?

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how the Giants defense will stop Dallas. If the Giants defense plays like last week vs the run Dallas will go over 200 yards on the ground and 300 yards passing. I think if the Giants stay with their soft zone they're going to make the Dallas receivers look like HOFers.
A lot of people who post here are big fans fo Dexter Lawrence. I see nothing from him. To me he's JAG out there. If he's ever going to have a game where he matters this would be the one to pick. Leonard Williams needs to earn his money this week too.
I think this is the first really important game for both Joe Judge and Daniel Jones. Last year was almost a 16 exhibition season in my mind with empty stadiums. A win tomorrow with 12 games left and the Giants are right in the division mix. A loss and 1-4 and 0-2 in the division will be a huge hole.
I'm never happy that any Giants ever get hurt but I'm happy that Sheppard, Slayton and Peppers aren't playing in this game. The players replacing them are upgrades except Peppers is good in the run game. But he's such a liability in coverage that I'd rather have Love in this game. I'd rather have Toney than Sheppard in this game and Ross instead of Slayton.
I'm hoping for the best but I can see this game getting very ugly very quickly.
And that Dallas is enjoying their usual and customary over rating and hype by the media and Dallas fans. I get that they’ve played well and that they have a lot of talent on both side of the ball. But would it surprise anyone if the Pokes turned out to be somewhat over rated?
Then there’s us. Maybe we are better than our record. Maybe our team is coming together and Jones has progressed to being a legit playmaker at the most important position on the field. Maybe Yung Joka is a legit plus player and a playmaker? I do think AT is a plus player at the 2nd most important position on the offense. Kenny G can play. Barks can score any time he’s on the field.
And as far as our defense, I think we’re better than what a lot of us have been crediting the defense. They’ve played well early in games and in big spots. I think they’ve been playing good complimentary football, mostly putting the offense into plus positions. What worries me most about the game is not having Martinez and Peppers due to injury.
Neither coaching staff is without warts. I think coaching is a push.
Anyway, we’ll see. But I don’t think this the mismatch that Troy said it is. Let’s not forget too, this is a division game and the Giants are a injured cornered animal. If the Giants aren’t fighting on every down in this game then I’ll be surprised and it would mean that this team doesn’t have the heart of a champion. I know the Giants can win this game. And I actually think we’re going to win this game.
