I'm glad DJ is proving this year that he can be a franchise QB because the 2022 QB class (and the 2023 class, for that matter) blows.
Rattler sucks
Howell has a ceiling as a prospect
Willis is a huge gamble coming out of Liberty
Desmond Ridder is good, but his mechanics (namely his throwing motion) needs to be worked on
Something is off with that entire offense. But he's been very ordinary - at best - this year. I have a hard time making a case right now that he's first round material.

Willis is going to be an NFL starter floor in this league. I think he’s the goods, every other QB though, we’ll id hate to need one.

Corral might be the best of the bunch, and he’s not all that great.

In some defense of Howell, that entire UNC offense has had a facelift. From all of the skilled players drafted and a pretty new OL. There have been real growing pains. He's been sacked 22 times through 5 games. That is a huge reason for the lost fumbles.
Not an excuse. Just some insight on what's happened.
The more I watch him, the more I'm convinced he's got the goods. Remember, he once played at Auburn, so he's a high level athlete.
I agree, the only QB's I would consider in round 1 are Willis and Corral. Willis is raw but he has a huge upside. I think he could be similar to Kyler Murray.
Hopefully he keeps this up because I would hate to need a QB in this years draft after Willis is gone. I think Willis will go 1st overall depending on who picks 1st.

He won't go first round, but Malik Cunningham will be the best of this class.

For Michigan State has 2 63 yard touchdown receptions and one 65 yard reception. He has 4 receptions for 208 yards and 3 tds. Where are Rutgers DBs
They were taking Reed away who had this kind of a day last week. The danger of having multiple good threats.
Love Kenneth Walker III. He has been amazing. Strong, fast, shifty, runs like he's on fire, has good hands, and I don't recall a turnover from him this year.
WOW.....all I got to say. If you are a football fan and dont love games like this you dont have a pulse. And still UGA/AU and Iowa/PSU to go. And I also have a sneaky suspicion that Neb/UM might be really good too.
I watched the Ark/Miss game on the ESPN Skycast, which is just the skycam view and the sounds of the crowd and the PA announcer. Absolutely loved it. Nice to think the game without an announcer telling me what to think..
On that ESPN SKycast of the Ole Miss/Ark game...the last PA announcement I heard after the game was over...."The Rebels will return home in two weeks to play the LSU Tigers on Eli Manning Jersey Retirement Day" Nice!
I don’t think so, there’s politics at play here. Lincoln may have trouble recruiting QBs if he’s going to pull a guy that has a first round NFL grade (right now) in middle of season where they are still 6-0 in games he started. It’s also a completely different ballgame coming in off the bench than playing a team that preps for you. At a school like OU they generally have a talented QB ready to go.
Yeah, I did not get that play call at all on the 4th down. Punt it and pin Iowa, let your D stop them, and get the ball back with plenty of time to tie or win
Without a doubt. If Penn State can win out and play Iowa with Clifford on a neutral field, they'll win by two scores. Although I doubt they can beat Ohio State if they can't go on the road and not false start every snap.
and he can motivate. He is not a quality in-game coach at all.
Look, a lot of college success is recruiting. So that's a big deal. So Franklin checks that box.
But if you want to compete with the big boys, get to the F4 and win F4 games you and your staff had better be good at coaching a game. And have little confidence that Franklin and this staff can move PSU into that next phase. So I have no problem moving on from him...

Yeah Walker III is a stud. MSU looks good this year after a couple down years
PSU Iowa should be fun later.
I'm hoping Pyne starts tonight for ND, but I'm not expecting it. That's going to be a tough game in Blacksburg.

Lots of fun. #4 Penn State @ #3 Iowa. Should be an awesome game. I think Penn State pulls it out in a close one.

All tied up WOW.
It appears they can....wow what a turn around.
And they scored on the first play and have the lead WOW.

Defensive Coordinator should be fired.
Sorry, 261 yards.
Except in the Big Ten where Maryland/Rutgers were both crushed yet again

They certainly know how to get turnovers.
Is Rattler Wally Pipe'd?

Texas defense downright atrocious

I was wondering that as well. Tough call. Rattler hasn’t been as good as expected. I think he’ll get the next start. But it’s be good or be gone.

Great point. They left Iowa too much time and now the backup QB has to move the ball after the Iowa TD

oh fuck off. Both teams are not remotely the worst teams in the big ten. Fucking hate this dumbass "schools don't belong" line of thinking. GFY
I didn’t say that they don’t belong in the conference. But they are the worst teams in the Big Ten East.
If I’m a PSU fan I’d be mighty angry with Franklin right now
Yeah, I did not get that play call at all on the 4th down. Punt it and pin Iowa, let your D stop them, and get the ball back with plenty of time to tie or win
Yeah, Penn State would have lost at Ohio State anyway. Iowa has the west locked up, but I don’t see them beating OSU. Michigan, maybe.
I’m not a ND fan or anything but it completely boggles my mind that Kelly has struggled so mightily to recruit the QB position
Coan is trash. He clearly has no idea how win here.
Without a doubt. If Penn State can win out and play Iowa with Clifford on a neutral field, they'll win by two scores. Although I doubt they can beat Ohio State if they can't go on the road and not false start every snap.
Throw the god damn ball. And with the freshman.
Throw the god damn ball. And with the freshman.
Holy crap no they won’t. Why would Edwards transfer? He’s a RB.
Agreed. Crushing loss. And Clifford wasn't playing very well either before he got hurt.
But I think he would have righted the ship and kept PSU in front.
Iowa has a cake walk to the B1G championship game. B1G West division is laughable...

He’s not garbage. And Edwards hasn’t shown he’s better than the other two RBs.
5 yard out that case misses by 10 yards.
5 yard out that case misses by 10 yards.
He has no turnovers this season. But if you want to nitpick every bad throw by him, fine.
He is a gamer for sure and he has an NFL arm. Body type is a concern. I see some Jake Plummer.

I’m not gonna sit here and argue. But he’s not a good QB. And if he finishes the year and starts next year - the 5 star will leave
Root for what’s best for the team. I don’t root for individuals. The more talented player sits. A mantra for Harbaugh. Doesn’t play blue chippers.
Why do you think Worthy left and look what he’s doing. He would be 6th string on Michigan.
#PLAYTHEFRESHMAN
Keep playing the noodle arm.

Not arguing. Just stating facts. He missed yet another wide open guy for a TD.
Said he’s not a top 5 player. 2nd rounder.
Yuck. That was awful
A division 3 QB wins this game. But the 5 star continues to sit.
One first down and end this.
Something we definitely agree on!

Yeah - but how does Texas A&M not have a DB anywhere near the WR?

On their go-ahead TD. They went quick snap and hit a wide-open WR for the TD but Bama's LT was not even set when they snapped it

I agree but that still should have been illegal procedure
Totally agree
Looks like I was wrong. It looked bad on the replay
Looks like the rankings will be:
Georgia
Iowa
Oklahoma
Cincinnati
Alabama really struggled to get a pass rush.

I can't put Ohio State ahead of Bama when Ohio State lost at home.
Bryce Young missed two throws that he needed to make late in the fourth. Let's see how he bounces back.

Uh, yes, an undefeated SEC team that beat Florida and LSU, absolutely.
