It it almost a year to the day when a scrambling Dak Prescott was tackled by Logan Ryan, resulting in a catastrophic ankle fracture, ending his season.
The surgery, the rehab, the questions, the road back, and now, today, he's facing Logan Ryan and the Giants' again, finally.
This date has to have been proverbially circled on Dak's calendar. What kind of emotions and thoughts will he have as he takes the field?
I'll say this, I believe Dak will have put in as much extra work as possible to get ready for this game. The Giants are going to get his best shot. So hopefully, this team is ready for it.
Will the emotions get the better of him and lead to mistakes? Will it alter his focus? Certainly it will be going through his mind before the game. Once he takes the field, though, it's anyone's guess. But I'd expect him to look to really hurt this Giants' secondary early and often. It's something that should be anticipated.
Let's go Giants.
I doubt that this game is any different to him than any other divisional game.
I hope we hit them so hard that Aikman has to deal with overwhelming embarrassment the entire broadcast. I hope that Keyshawn Johnson has to go work tomorrow and walk through every hallway with his head down.
We are the ones that have our backs against the the wall and need to put the pedal to the metal on the first snap and never let up.
The playoffs start right now. We find a way to win today and everything changes. We win today, we are one game back of the great Cowboys. Thinking of Herb Brooks, I am tired of hearing of how great the Cowboys are, today is Our day, today is a New York Giants Day.
Today is not the day to care about Dak's triumphs. I hope that Judge and Garret realize that our current team is one that should attack fast and early today. Get a lead and see how the Cowboys play from behind. I don't care if the league thinks we are shit, it all changes if we go out there hit them in the face. Hit them so hard that their mother's feel it.
Win today and the Cowboys world implodes. Win today and we see headlines like "Is McCarthy the right coach?"
We have seen this story before, in the words of Strahan "Believe it, and it will happen"
GO GIANTS

Yeah but is a year almost to the date. Same week same opponent same location. Nobody said it was dirty or anything but I could see him thinking it as closing that year if rehab and work to get back and leave it in the rear view.
Hopefully we can harass the shit out of him somehow today. Maybe someone in the Dallas area can slip some horse laxative in their olines lunch lol
There's a reason this game is Fox's game of the week despite the Giants having a 1-3 record.

Right, game of the week because Dak had a broken ankle...people can talk themselves into anything.

It's THE storyline. Watch the pre-game and then mock me. I guarantee it's all going to be about the game last year and Dak's recovery and "revenge" game (for lack of a better word).
Maybe fuck off.
I didn't even remember that Dak's injury came against the Giants, but apparently Dallas hasn't forgotten.

I didn't think about this but you raise an interesting point.
It seems only human nature for Dak to mark this game as an anniversary moment.
This is fan nonsense. Dak’s comeback was against Tampa. This is simply a division game he is going to prepare to win. He isn’t going crazy this morning with thoughts of payback for a clean tackle.

It’s the game of the week because it’s Giants Cowboys in essentially a must win for the Giants who came off a big win. It’s not game of the week if Giants lose last week regardless of Daks ankle.
Really not a lot of mention of Dak's injury against the Giants last October. Seems like it is more fan generated.
Let's go Giants shock Cowboy Nation!!!

So, that does not make it Dak's storyline. If Fox wants to drum up interest as a revenge game, does not make it so.
Have read about it at all this week.
