I liked the way the team competed today. Losing Andrew Thomas was a massive blow. Losing Barkley, Jones & Golladay in the first half was brutal, the team fought hard today.
He's gutless and so is his defense. He has no feel for the flow of a game and we make zero changes once Dallas shows is that once again, stopping the run is still job #1 in the NFL despite what some lesser folks love to say about it being just a passing league now. If you can't stop the run you have no chance in any football game. You will lose time of possession, your defense will wear down and your opponent has you beaten. It's a very simple concept that continues to elude several people here who think they know way more than they do. Stop the run, first or you have no chance to win, ever.

Maybe they should have prioritized Dalvin Tomlinson then.
JJs future may depend on whether he can fire his good friend PG.

Minnesota’s D has been atrocious too. The problem is we are giving teams all day to throw. There is no creativity with our DL and our DB’s are always 10-15 yards off the WR’s guarding air.
I honestly don’t give a shit that the team fights hard
That isn’t some huge plus when you lose all the time. The fact is this team should have at least have one more win and probably 2 if you have generic face McGee on the sideline. His gameplans suck for what we have and his in game management is terrible. Was he that bad today ? No, but that is totally beside the point. This team isn’t in some absolutely ducking must win in week 5 is.

Yeah, I agree. This is not Judge. Judge isn't a finished product, but he showed a lot last year. He's not the problem. And even a remotely good head coach is a rare commodity. Give him time. We don't have the personnel and that's DG.

Then what the hell did we spend money on with Bradberry, Jackson, Ryan, and Williams? We were getting better play from guys who are not on any active roster. The problem is Patrick Graham and Joe Judge’s fear of turning the dogs loose because they might give up chunk plays.

I don't think that's it. Why would Graham worry so much about the big chunk after what we did last year? Graham showed major creativity with a less than optimal cast throughout much of last season. I think we don't have the personnel, and never really did, and other teams have adapted. Otherwise, I can't understand why we're not as good, or better than last year. I can't believe that Graham suddenly lost his nerve and smarts...
Judge running our OL depth into retirement seems an odd choice now
Probably had no shot given the injuries but he’s philosophically flawed in his approach. Game management might improve and I’m sure he does things well behind the scenes but he has no idea what kind of game he’s getting ready to play. Dallas was going to score 30 on us, they should have dropped 40+ today if they didn’t shoot themselves in the foot multiple times… yet he’s taking coin flip conversion fg attempts early in games when you need your team to score 30. They scored on everybody. They ran the ball at will on everybody outside of Tampa. They can pass on anybody if they choose. It’s an explosive and versatile offense. You need to accept the likelihood that they’re going to score on you and cater your strategy accordingly.
Garrett is calling the plays on offense and I actually think he had a good game. He mixed some high low and took some shots. He had some decent trick plays dialed up. The DJ injury was bad luck and unfortunate but given the spot and the way he set that call up, it was a good call. He needed to be aggressive.1-3 on the road behind in a key divisional game. But you have Judge making the decisions, so you have a game where the OC is calling an aggressive game but Judge is STILL being conservative like it’s gonna be a low scoring one score game and you have the talent edge. There’s a lack of consistency there. He has no feel, there’s no nuance. He’s consistently overly conservative regardless of the situation.
He won me back a little today. In the midst of as much adversity as you could get, he still had the team bought-in and fighting hard.
It really is!
Our vaunted secondary positively blows.
With all the starters out today you've got to be kidding me!!!!
Gettleman needs to go.

We all thought the D would pace the team this year.
What does a Judge team do well?

So you want Mike Zimmer in 2022?
Chargers - 5.6 YPC
Cardinals - 5.4 YPC
Combined record of those teams is 9-1.
Cardinals are 4th in scoring. Chargers are 5th.
Score points. Win games.
