Than this soft ass team. Bunch of pu$$ie$ out there. Show some freakin heart. How many times does Ryan and Crowder have to get run over. McKinney thinks he can tackle people by standing with his arms out. So soft, no heart. Don’t make any effort to get back at the Cowboys for their cheap shots on defense. Just a joke. Judge just needs to be shown the door, and a coach with some nasty and not fake tough needs to get in here
The Cowboys have a clue and purpose on offense. They are functional on D, even without top end talent.
The Giants are “searching” on offense and Graham is doing a terrible job on defense plus their self scouting of defensive talent is terrible

Oh well. I'm hammered. I've seen two Super Bowl wins. I hope we're good by the time my daughter finishes high school in the 2030s.
The Giants win the Super Bowl every time the number is divisible by 21 and again 4 years later. We're more than half way through the misery and doldrums. Super Bowl LXIII and LXVII will make our suffering worth it.
My problem is the formation and personnel. I HATE stacking the box telegraphing a run. We already have a tough time running against the opponents front four. The last thing we need are the linebackers and safeties also up in there.
Spread the field to give us some options depending upon the defensive alignment. Then, run if you want to. You will have a better chance with our poor OL
Right? Roll Jones out with KT and a TE as targets if need be, could not have been a worse outcome.
into the rest of the disastrous
seasons where we say “maybe next year.” This isn’t fun, or interesting, or entertaining, just like the last 7-8 seasons. The player
personnel decisions, the game preparation, the in game decisions by a clueless coaching staff, the effort from the lousy roster players…it’s all lacking in embarrassing fashion. Time to blow it all up again. Time for someone to appoint a conservatorship over this franchise to keep the Maras from fucking it up more than it has been for the past decade. Until then, I’m out.
This game was brutal. SIgh, draft time already. I only know 3 players, Olive, the Bama OL Neal and the Edge from the ducks, time to start studying the draft,
paying good money to watch the Giants get their ass kicked live?
Bad enough I have to witness cowboys annoying fans and their shit talk…I’m so stupid, I told me wife, don’t let we don’t waste anymore money on this discrace of a franchise until they give us a good product. Fack

And I'm not including Barkley because I don't expect him to be able to stay on the field for a more than a half dozen games a year.
A minute after DJ takes the helmet to helmet hit (Aikman hinted at a penalty there but didn't fully commit), it was a 10-10 game.
Martinez was a big loss because he could tackle, a skill that most of the other defensive players have yet to master. Peppers was a big loss, because he could tackle half the time, which still put him ahead of the others.
You're not gonna win when the other team hands the ball off in between the tackles on first down and gains seven yards all the time.
But the good side of that is that it's not that difficult to find linebackers and safeties who can play the run OK.
Toney looks really really good. I get that the punch is going to get a lot of press, and it shouldn't happen, but he looked unstoppable today. Diggs has been getting a lot of praise as a shutdown corner this year and he didn't have a chance against Toney. That should be the main take away.
Peart played a solid game.
How is Solder starting over Peart? He is terrible.
Jones didn't look very good before the injury. It was looking like his worst game of the season. I'm not overly worried though, it seemed having Solder at LT was really difficult for him.
Jones' mobility is weird. He really fast when he gets to full speed, but it takes him a long time to build up to speed. He's also not very agile.
The defense is coming back to earth a bit after last season. Truth is, the talent wasn't there last season and it overperformed. The linebackers and edge rushers aren't good. None of the safeties can cover well. This defense requires Leonard Williams to be an elite pass rusher (he's not) and Dexter Lawrence to be a way better pass rusher then he is. It also requires Bradberry and Adoree to be lock down corners, which they haven't been. I might be in the minority, but I'm still a pretty big fan of Patrick Graham, the talent on the defense just stinks.

Defense right now is bad. DL is weaker than last year. One of these days we will learn you can't win without a pass rush and a good set of linebackers. For a team that has not drafted a quality linebacker since what Jessie Armstead do you think they would finally learn a lesson? And even more so you play a 3-4 defense and don't have one above average linebacker on the field. Once again BTW we can't cover a TE no matter who we play or who the TE is. Pathetic. You can blame the offense all you want but this is the 5th game in a row (and we have only played 5 games so far) that this defense let the opponent score a TD with the first half winding down. I mean its the SOS.
OL talent is here it is either injury or young. Can’t draft new young players every year need to develop what you have. Looks like they finally have a good o line coach in Sale. D line talent he gave up is what bj hill, you know he was on this roster and judge made two decent oline man retire because he sucks. DT the money wasn’t there, have dexter and Leo on D line can’t pay 3 do that much. Issue is this coach and d coach wanted special team players and secondary. They got what they asked for
they have to sit him down and tell him not to run unless the game is on the line.
I turned 70 and have following the Giants for 60 year, starting with Y.A. Tittle and Allie Sherman. They've reached a turning point. Golladay and Toney didn't even get the ball in the first two games. Who misses Shepard and Slayton? These guys are better.
When you've been a cellar dweller for a decade, it takes a while to turn it around. The Jets, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cardinals. The team needs to think of itself as a winner, so it stops losing games by fumbling the ball while taking a knee to run out the clock or by going offside while the game-tying field goal was being missed.
They have big draft ammo and they have to land the biggest, baddest defensive player in the draft. It took a few years after LT joined the team before they became a really good team. The offense sucked and Simms kept getting injured, which tied up his progress.
The good part about watching the Giants after LT but before Simms and Parcells was that the defense got such a reputation for its punishing hits that no team really wanted to play them.
Maligned GM appears to hit on good QB, OT, and WR picks and we’re terrible.
The “hit” on Jones is TBD. Stop.
I guess you would have traded Eli after his third year.
I hate when posters do this. Jones and Eli have nothing to do with each other. They’re separate entities. Eli became a HOF player. You want to bet your mortgage on Jones eventually doing the same?
I don't know what kind of a career Jones will have, just like you don't. But he has had better numbers over his first 32 starts than Eli did, and Eli had a much, much better group around him. I hate when posters don't want to acknowledge that.
Today the Giants were down to three offensive starters from week 1 (if they started with 3 WRS on the field), and one was Solder, who had to move to the left side where no one expects him to be average, much less good. They were also on their fourth left guard (and I'm not even counting Gates playing a quarter there). And at the end today, they were down to Board, Ross and Johnson at WR. The Cowboys were playing a mostly second string offense even before Barkley, Jones and Golladay went out. But we have posters saying Jones looked bad early while running for his life and getting hit right after throwing. He started 1 of 9 before going 4 of 4 on the drive when he got hurt.
Anyone remember what 2018 MVP Mahomes looked like in the Super Bowl last year without his starting tackles? He was 26 for 49 for 270 yards, two INTs, no TDs, 3 sacks and a rating of 42.2. The team around the QB has a lot to do with the QB's play. Anyone think Brady could win with what we had on the field most of today?

We haven't drafted a linebacker in the first round in an unbelievable 37 years.
Hard do judge live but it feels like Peart had an ok game. Why was Solder out there over him? I gave them the benefit of the doubt that Peart wasn’t close to ready but Solder may legitimately be the worst OT in the league. The left side was a total mess today.
The Cowboys have a clue and purpose on offense. They are functional on D, even without top end talent.

If Eli played under this cba he might not have had the same leash
Eli played half the season in '04 and then made the playoffs in '05, '06, and in '07 they won the Superbowl with him as MVP.
When exactly in his rookie contract is it you think Eli would have been cut?
Eli never had a losing season until 2013.
bingo
I love all the revisionist history here on BBI.
FACT: The anti-Eli venom was palpable on the Corner forum 2004-2007, right up until the playoff run that changed everything. He was a lower % completion guy, with a high INT rate and the knives were out for both he and TC right up until they went on their 4 game run...and I can you this as someone that came on here and defended the guy.
Anyone remember the Week 15 game against Washington in '07? The 4 pick game vs. Minnesota?
Daniel Jones has already demonstrated he can make the throws and lead his team from behind. Let's see if he can do it consistently the rest of the season. BTW, for those looking to the draft...there are NO sure things at QB in the '22 draft. Malik Willis appears to be QB1, but he is all over the place with his mechanics and consistency.
So yeah, I do think there is a very large portion of BBI that would have dumped Eli prior to '07. The teams he had in '05 and '06 were markedly better than what Jones had to work with thus far.
Maligned GM appears to hit on good QB, OT, and WR picks and we’re terrible.

Another douchebag
Eli had a better offense and the defense was complete especially the DL with Strahan, Tuck, OSI and others. Miles better than what is there now. Same goes for the linebackers.
Toomer, Brandon Jacobs, Tiki, then Bradshaw, Shockey and others. Talent wise there is no comparison

Worked in 2007/2011 for some reason we think the back end is more important.
For all his talk, Gettleman has given away more OL and DL talent than he jas brought in. This team is declining under Gettleman.

Maligned GM appears to hit on good QB, OT, and WR picks and we’re terrible.
The “hit” on Jones is TBD. Stop.
I guess you would have traded Eli after his third year.
If Eli played under this cba he might not have had the same leash
Another douchebag
Eli had a better offense and the defense was complete especially the DL with Strahan, Tuck, OSI and others. Miles better than what is there now. Same goes for the linebackers.
Toomer, Brandon Jacobs, Tiki, then Bradshaw, Shockey and others. Talent wise there is no comparison
