With the exception of one year, we've been dealing with shitty football every year since 2013. Almost 10 years of complete and utter garbage. We haven't won this fucking division since 2011.
Every year I wait anxiously for the Giants season to arrive. 8-9 looooooooooooooooong months. Can we ever just be somewhat respectable and not be a complete embarrassment? Most losses in the NFL since the start of the 2017 season.
When is enough enough? And what is enough? Is there an enough? Because I've had enough!
1964-1980.
Do the math.
And the most depressing part is Mara will just swap Abrams for DG and here we are again….
They will never make the moves to turn the organization around and we will continue to go through rebuild after rebuild.
At some point talented front office people will not want anything to do with this franchise.
I do think it's time to move on from Barkley. No second deal for him. Can't pay a RB big money and now the lower extremity injuries are piling up with him. Let him go play somewhere else for 15 mil a year.
The Maras will never sell so that option is off the board. Only with total organizational change will this thing turn around, IMO.
This is the key right here. Any of us who have suffered from Dolan's follies for decades are familiar with the concept
The decision by committee headed by Mara and his useless brother has to stop. Untill then you'll continuously have shit sandwiches every Sunday
(1) It is going to be our current cap “guru”
(2) Even if it isn’t, I don’t expect anyone good because John Mara won’t accept anyone who will rightfully ignore Chris Mara
Why would anyone good want to come here with Chris Mara playing such a large role?
And Tim McDonnell

I’d be shocked if it wasn’t from the outside, that should at least give fans some hope for some new blood.

Yep, right now we're the same as the worst of the Jerry Jones and Daniel F. Snyder eras, except they didn't have analytics in that era so the Maras are even more exposed.

I’m not so sure of that. Mara has been aggressive with firing head coaches. He won’t promote from within after a 4-13 type season. He can’t. If he did this fanbase would revolt, and we all saw how he reacted after the Eli benching. He cares very much about optics. I’m confident the next GM is not in the building.

Well then the franchise is hopeless because the Mara’s own the team. I’m not there yet. Not many GM jobs out there, I think this will be a coveted job once available.

No one is paying him 15 mil a year. Only one franchise dumb enough to pay him 8

We're staring at another rebuild with no cap room. Thanks DG!

Shut the fuck up about those years
I was at that game. Gross.
Yep. I bet the Rams score 60 next week.
Yes, it’s been frustrating especially this year when we were legitimatel thisclose to a 3-1 start. It may turn out to be another lost year if injuries to players we cannot afford to lose continues. But we are building the right way even if it doesn’t appear so right now.
You saw what we could be offensively with all hands on deck last week. There are no juggernauts in tge league right now. They all have some flaws-some bigger than others.
The FACT IS, we’re depleted right now. Yes, we’re snakebitten it seems, but as much as people lament the INJURY EXCUSE, you can’t lose your top 3 players within minutes of each other and expect to just roll along. Then you lose the potential stud OLT in Thomas
People are tired of a bunch of things, especially the INJURY EXCUSE. Tired or not, it is extremely legitimate. You saw the potential of just those 4 merely a week ago..
We lost a crucial player in Martinez as well. He was enormous for us and not easily replaceable. Would we have benefited from a Micah Parsons? Perhaps, but then again, we don’t get Toney and a Number 1 next year. I hope there’s a stud LB we can finally snare in the ‘22 draft.
We’ll be fine moving forward, I believe. I think we’re on the right track.
And btw, I didn’t think going into the game, without Thomas and the protection he offers, that a win was in the offing despite the hope that it was
Losing martinez is hard, but he's not Harry Carson. If the defense collapses like a house of cards when one guy goes out, it wasn't a well-built defense.
But we already know it wasn't a well-built defense because there are no other linebackers on this team.
Good teams can survive big injuries because you have at least some other talent to help carry the load. We haven't had more than 1 legit linebacker on this team since 2017. Makes it easy to fall apart when the one good player gets hurt.

Yeah, the D is enigmatic at this point, but I wouldn’t minimize (you’re not) the loss of Martinez. We MUST address LB high in the draft, imv
We'll see good Giants football again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I said this before, and I'll say it again. I also hate to say it but I think this franchise is very much alike the Oakland Raiders post 2002 Super Bowl loss.
A once "proud" franchise with absolutely no direction.

The question is when. And who the hell knows? Look @ the Bills & Cards. Both were dregs of the league not too long ago & now are the best teams-record wise @ least-in their respective conferences.

I think the comparison is apt. I have no hope for this organization, and I believe the losing will continue for another decade.
This franchise needs a major reboot. Hopefully Mara feels the same.

I mean be honest, when was the last time you went into a season expecting this team to be good? It's just the same old repetitive bullshit over and over and over. Repetitive non-competitive games, injuries, even with no injuries they still look like shit.
Just look at the 2019 game vs Philly in week 17 as a perfect example. They had everyone healthy, Barkley, Jones, Engram, etc. the "core" of the team and they still got waxed by a bunch of Pet Co. cashiers.
Injuries don't mean a thing. They suck with or without them.

and they play a boring, bland style of football in an era of high-flying offenses. Honestly, they've become a joke.
