#Giants star RB Saquon Barkley is believed to have suffered a low-ankle sprain, sources say, an injury that likely knocks him out next week. He’ll have more tests, but he’s best characterized as week-to-week. A fast healer, Barkley will work to miss only one week.

Daniel Jones suffers frightening injury after helmet-to-helmet hit leaves Giants QB wobbly. Teammates say he's "in good spirits," so what's next now that he finds himself in concussion protocol.

Kenny Golladay said he hyperextended his knee in the first quarter. “Frustrating” but got worse as they went along. It happened on the play when he collided with Trevon Diggs. He’ ll see how it feels this week once they get back. #Giants
Would expect neither play next week

Rendering the game essentially unwatchable.
Golladay's injury would explain
section125 : 10/10/2021 9:29 pm : link
why he looked like he dogged a couple of passes.
an of course.....
thrunthrublue : 10/10/2021 9:30 pm : link
we can all hope the GM and coaching remain.....week to week. 1-4 ain't gettin it, and 1 - 8 is just over the horizon, no matter how much they look at the tape.
I think Barkley's absence will depend on how bad the tear is.

I tore ligaments in my ankle, no break, at age 21 and couldn't put any weight at all on it for 5 weeks. I wasn't a world-class athlete but was in decent shape. I hope Barkely returns much sooner.

What tear?
I did what saquon did at 24

Blew up like a balloon right before my eyes ( com8ng down from rebounding in hoop)
Turned yellow, purple , alls rots a shit
Re did it 10 weeks later in the middle street ( pothole)
Boy was I pissed
No mri back in early 90s, at least not for me
Doubt I would’ve been playing football a week later, j. Maybe a few weeks later but limited
Had to be torn, just never checked it out
35 yrs later, no issues with ankle. Never rolled it again

it sounds like just your run of the mill rolled ankle sprain, doesn't it?

I give him two weeks, at most, and only because it's professional football and it's a really high standard.

A sprain is a tear technically. As a future HOF ankle sprainer I got Barkley right. As long as it wasn’t broken that ugly ass swelling was actually a good thing.

Jones that was scary that second or two they showed him before they mentioned he might be hurt he had that blank I’m not there stare and spit bubbles on his lip.I was like something is wrong

Going to my first Giants game in about 5 years and will have to watch a skeleton crew against the Rams. No Jones, no Barkely, no Shpard, no Slayton, possibly no Golladay and maybe even no Toney if he gets suspended.
