Daniel Jones, seeing him woozy like that, blowing bubbles and stumbling, that's some scary stuff, hope the kid is ok. That being said, he is hurt again. At some point we have to say the words "injury prone." I like Jones but can the org trust someone who will always miss time?
Barkley, just argh. Not even on a play.
Even worse look around the NFC East at the backup RBs, Mckissic, Pollard, Gainwell, all dangerous talents. We have a guy whose best skill is pass pro. Giants dont even have a RB on the PS aside from Sandro. I would take a hard look at WAS' Jonathan Williams from their PS.
Solder, my god he is getting thrown around like a rag doll out there. I felt like Jones was in trouble immediately every snap. I can't believe it's 2021 and I have to still write about Solder.
Golladay, well he is as advertised, gets dinged.
Tae Crowder, not sure what you are looking at, is Coughlin really worse? Then holy crap.
Adoree, keep doing your thing! They should roll the safety to Bradbury because you are holding it down!
Toney, Toney, Toney, "Feels Good!" All the hype around Trayvon Diggs (rightfully so) but did you see him try to cover Toney? Did not look so hot, Toney just got open again. His pT has to increase when Shep and Slayton get healthy not decrease.
Evan Engram made some tough catches, the game was over but he did it. Can we trade him yet? Kyle Rudolph is starting to show some legs, just a little.
Overall, the Cowboys did not seem in a different class (Troy Aikman was embarrassing this broadcast) and I think it would have been a game. Unfortunately we'll never know.
Will Judge survive a 3-5 win season? Will DG? Will Mara flip something larger than a chair? Maybe angrily rearrange a napkin holder?
This is going to be a tough season boys, glad we're all here together to go through it.
THey embarrassed the Giants on national TV. There's no way around that.
Kudos to the Cowboys. I think they are really good.
when he got up.
That was not a pretty sight, I would keep him out next week
against the Rams.
They had a turnover inside the five yard line, on a center
snap, for a fumble. Dak just dropped the ball, turned his
head away.
The game wasn't as close as the final score would indicate.

Definitely.

Cowboys are legit, especially the offense. However, if you do not think that had Jones, Golladay, Thomas and Barkley not been hurt the game would have been close, you are nuts. Glennon with minimal practice time and no Golladay was picking them apart as badly as Elliot was running through the Giants defense.
Yes they got crushed but you would expect that with the number of players missing.
They got no sacks against a makeshift OL that scares no one. They did get pressures and hits on our QB's but the Cowboys defense is still a negative IMHO.Excluding Diggs their secondary is still not good.
I think the argument can be made, yes. He looks like he can make something positive happen for the team every single time the ball goes his way. The house is burning down around the Giants offense, players dropping left and right and he just keeps getting open and chewing up yards. Golladay had problems matching up with Diggs, Toney put Diggs on skates.
You are correct. When you can roll double coverage to him, his catches will be minimized. Hope Golladay is a short thing and that Slayton and Shepard are back quickly.
But Toney may be like VC in that he is basically uncoverable one on one.
Quote:
That's a totally different role than what he's been doing. Just like when Shepard is forced into a higher role than he talent dictates he becomes less productive. Once Toney's name gets around the league he's going to get his skillset broken down and gameplanned for, and he'll start seeing more lineups against better defenders, especially if Golladay out.

If Toney starts to draw double coverage that is a good thing. We haven’t had a receiver who has drawn doubles since OBJ, it will open up our running game, get more quality PA plays, and open things up for the others to make plays. This is a great problem to have, now the question is can Garrett actually game plan and make play calls to take advantage of it?
FYI - Cowboy defense was ranked right next to Giants before yesterday's game. Having Gates and Thomas out made a bit of a difference I would think

I guess you didn't notice that the Giants were missing a lot of their key players?
Yes when the Giants roll out the roster they did and with no Martinez on D, and on offense No Shep (who looked like he was playing the bets of his career), no Slayton, only a short time of SB, a Golladay getting hurt, no Thomas, losing Gates, other OL injuries, and a hurt QB too; yeah we are not going to be competitive.
And they beat a Giant team decimated by injuries.
McCarthy always has great offenses - but the defense...
They are very much going backwards.
He's been absolutely dreadful.
I can't believe that Judge tolerates it.
