I really don't understand comments like this. Toney already looks like a star and the Giants could land a very good OL prospect with the Bears 1st round pick next year. I'd rather have multiple players where one looks like a star WR.
DeVonta Smith or Kadarius Toney, 2022 1st round pick, 2022 4th round pick, and the 2021 5th round pick they used to trade up for Aaron Robinson.
Good point Jay. I was trying to keep it simple.
It's actually none of this because we didn't have the option of drafting Smith. Instead of Parsons or Slater, maybe. But not Smith. We would have had to give up a draft pick to trade up and get Smith

That's true but there is a narrative that because the Giants couldn't get Smith they traded down.
The hoops some people will jump through for this GM. I don’t even know what to say. Our record since he took over is the literal worst in the league, but hey, he got us an extra first round pick next year. Cool.

These hypotheticals are silly. Any GM will have his share of hits and misses once he’s been in charge for half a decade. Evaluate the GM on how the team performs. Does the team look like it’s on the verge of being a super bowl contender? Here, the answer is no. In fact, the team might be worse than they were before he took over with a worse cap situation.

He might be better but is he better than Toney, and 2022 1st and 4th round picks?
Toney may be great, he may not be. Some of you guys had us "turning the corner" after last week's win.

Smith still won’t be just as good as Toney?

The Giants still have to hit on that pick. It’s way too early to say which we’d prefer.
