Players much better suited to this - Barkley, Toney, Engram
Probably hurts Hernandez and maybe Price
And to be more exact, I am talking spreading it way out, not necessarily chucking it up every play. I believe that the recent vintage back most comparable to SB was the other LT.
Would love to see plays where Barkley ends up with one defender between him and daylight wide on one side and Toney wide on the other side. Engram, Ross and Golliday to threaten middle if defense biased too much to the outside. Probably too much of a college scheme for our old farts to consider. And yes, not old men, but our staff is a bunch of conservative old farts in scheme.
How many drops does he have? I get it you think he’s going to just get the ball inn open space and run in for a TD.
Barley is what he is. A Barry sanders running back who wants to break one every time as a running back. But ends up losing lots of yards ; hardly breaking anything; and avg about 60 yards a game ... and that’s when he isn t hurt which very often
Cut bait this team sucks and has a bunch of over hyped over priced players...
Glennon and freeman and Gallman did this place a huge favor by showing you can pretty much start backups off the scrap pile and get the same product as jones and Barkley... why am I the only one who sees this?
Although I gave a different specific example, Barkley would benefit from running out of a passing type offense rather than a Woody Hayes knockoff.

People like you were biitching about Garrett not letting jones run. You got what you wanted and almost got him killed. I don’t hear those complaints any more about jones not running enough
You’re off your rocker if you think this team is a quick fix from anything... this is a bad football team

Saquon Barkley isn't 1/1,000,000th of Barry Sanders.

Does everyone really think Barkley looks all that comfortable going out for passes? Is that really what you drafted Barkley to do do?

I'm sorry, but didn't Gettleman say he was 'touched by the hand'? You're way out of line here!

Running Jones was not at all the problem. Jones stupidly lowering his head into a defender is why he was injured.
Jones' injury is a result of poor execution by a player, not a poor play call.
Those that want a wide open offense you realize Jones is going to get killed, right?

Yes it was. If he wasn't running he wouldn't have been put in that situation and it never would've happened.
Every time a QB runs there is a risk.

good point but everytime a qb gets the ball whether in the pocket or running there is a risk. We wanted a mobile QB after Eli. We got one. This is what happens to a mobile QB.

The fact that you think Glennon is equal or better than Jones ends any credibility you have (or think you had).

Yes but not near the risk than using him as a pseudo-running back. We all say that all it takes for a running back is to take one hit and he is done. Using Jones as a running back is more risk than not.
Yes we love that he is mobile. But intentionally using him as a pseudo-running back is kinda too much.
IMO then need ot tone down running Jones deliberately like a RB.

What do you really know about Glennon? And what do you really know about Jones? The Giants scored 20 which is mor or less what they score Jones no?
