who's part of the solution, who's going to be here (Because of their contract), who's still unknown; and who won't be here much longer.
Here's my take:
1. Who's Part of the Solution
-Andrew Thomas
-Kadarius Toney
-Matt Peart
-Dexter Lawrence
-Leonard Williams
-Azeez Ojulari
-Julian Love
-Blake Martinez
-Sterling Shepard
-Will Hernandez (might surprise you guys but WH has been playing well and might be worthy of a second contract, as long as its not too pricey, would hate to go into next season without one semi-competent guard)
-Julian Love
-Nick Gates (hopefully)
2. Who's gonna be here regardless
-Adoree' Jackson
-Kenny Golladay
-James Bradberry
-Logan Ryan
3. Still Unknown
-Daniel Jones (I want to put him as part of the solution, but his W-L record is what it is, not blaming him, but I'm on the fence here)
-Saquon Barkley
-Darius Slayton
-Jabrill Peppers
-Xavier McKinney (i'm waiting for him to make an impact but he's been invisible)
Shane Lemieux
4. Who's Gone
-Kyle Rudolph
-Lorenzo Carter
-Oshane Ximines
-Billy Price
-Evan Engram
I would add Jabrill Peppers to the "Who's Gone" list.
My best guess is that, when this franchise finally turns the corner and produces a consistent winner (2024? 2026? 2028? 2030?), the majority of players in your thread starter will be gone.
You won't recognize the roster.
They need to hope Martinez is good to go next year otherwise they really need go draft a MLB early. They impact defenses, especially a 3-4.
I can't remember too many jekyl/hyde performances like Graham's so far this year vs. last year. I guess maybe Spags 16/17?
Going through players in your buckets now.
Same for Love and Hernandez.
I'm also on the fence about Lawrence. Right now, gun to my head, I'd keep him in the first category. But then again, if he was part of the solution, he'd be a slam dunk in the first category.
Quote:
Guy has caught everything thrown to him. Not getting many opportunities due to him being left in to help block. You can see the improvement on the line and he has a lot too do with that. He chips hard, he can take on edge rushers 1 on 1. Did he do something horrible in a game or is this just due to the box score.
Well, he gave up on the naked bootleg after missing his block on the Jones concussion play. Simply running into the endzone would have peeled one of those two defenders off of Jones.
Rudolph and Martin are both sealing the defenders out, neither tried to hook them to clear the outside. It appears both were blocking for an off tackle run on that play and Jones bounced it out. Players don’t blindly run routes when it is a designed run.
