Inside The NFL visits the Giants, circa 1984!!!

OK, first I have no remembrance of this which is surprising, because Inside the NFL on Thursday nights at 8pm on HBO is why I started my fascination with the NFL.

As a kid, I would wait the entire hour to see how NFL Films would portray last week's Giants game - would I get a 45 second clip of highlights or an extended 1 min and 30 seconds of action and great music!!!?

Anyway, prior to Week 4 in 1984, Lenny and Nick visited East Rutherford and interviewed some of our all time greats, mixed in with those great highlights. I think you'll enjoy it.......give it a look.

on Saturday mornings. That's when I would watch it and it woulf get me all excited for Sunday. It was a great show. Thanks for the memory..

I had the same fascination in the early 90s Inside the NFL was much watch football for me, and I would beam with pride when the Giants did well and would eagerly wait to see how the story was expressed on the show.

They really made each game a masterfully told story unto itself. Just great stuff.

After a particular episode of futility, he threatened to quit and train to be a fighter pilot. I am not sure how to classify that.

That opening music as a kid! We’d pretend to be in slo-mo doing that da-da da-da da-da da da da de-daaaaa.

Loved this show back then. Like the place to see the highlights package. After a win hoping for a longer segment.
